recently my runner fuel comp drop drastically. previously full tank can run 240+km but now it can only run 210+km on full tank. can anyone help. i pump only shell 98.

how long have u been riding the gilera??? one of the cause shld be ur carburettor dirty... go wash it at bike shop n at the same time ask them to tune for u... another thing maybe u change ur own riding style without u knowing??? anyway 95 is more efficient den 98 do u know???

grade 95 is more than enough for most of the bikes in spore

i've tried Vpower, 98, 95 & 92

best mileage is 95 while 92 is the worst

but Vpower is better than 98... funny...

The poster didn't state. There was one time the mechanic pumped water out of my fuel tank. (06 Runner). Might be that.

06 runner is the latest model of the piaggio runner rite?

 

think the latest version of runner has tat problem of water leaking into the petrol tank

Yes its the latest. Everyone claims there is an '07 Runner but its actually the 06 Runner with a different front logo. The new Runner has that problem so I suggest those that just bought one to get a tank cover.

someone bought the additional rubber seal to fix in seem like it solve the problem of water going in

I think rubber seal no use. Try to search for tank cover better.

check your fuel pertrol tubes linking to the carb. might need to replace.. those rubber tubes usually will harden and break..

hey guys.. i got a prob wif my runner too.. hope can identify the prob... my 05 runner recently got one prob is that sometime waiting for the traffic light, when green, i throttle up, the engine wind up but suddenly wind down n up again although i hold the throttle tightly... wander wats the prob?? carb ? I just bought an FS plate Gilera Runner abt 2 months ago.. Being a noob I have a few questions I hope u experienced gilera riders can help me with..

 

Q1) What exactly is the fuel tank capacity of this bike? My friends say they can pump up to 11 litres but mine will overflow when I reach 9 litres??

 

Q2) My bike has a really strong smell of petrol coming from it? My friends say it could be the fuel tubing leaking?? Any other possibilities?

 

Q3) After I added new coolant, it started to leak out after I park my bike for like half an hr after i ride it.. Its been leaking abit abit for the past week but i can still see coolant in the coolant reservoir so shud be safe rite?? Wat cud be the cause of the leak??

 

Q4) My fuel consumption is abt 20km/litre. Is this ok?? I pump 98 most of the time..

 

Q5) Can u guys recommend a tried and trusted workshop for me to send this sick bike of mine to..

besides the fuel lines, could be overflow from the carb

if your bike is stock then you're getting crappy mileage. Mine is done up and i'm getting 22km/litre. check with your mech.

FS plate should be the 180sp 2stroke model and cfm it will be ur bike (becoz the older version of FXR has a 9l tank so it means if u can pump 9l ur bike shld have been dry up)...180sp 2stroke has a 11liter tank n reserve lite usually light on when 9l is finish n starts blinking when around 8.5l is used..thus if u squeeze 9liters in sure overflow.

Check for harden n crack fuel tubes n ur carb is it had started to leak..old bike usually like dat

Coolant hose harden n crack thus leaking or water pump is gone case...standard for the old 2stroke..

 

Try locating the leak n revert the findings bah

If on orginal carb as according to ur odometer, it should be doing around 20-22km/l...of coz it depends alot on the condition of the carb n how itz set..if it falls below 20km/l then it will be rather bad..try checking and servicing ur carb n c how it goes along with changing of a new air-filter for a start...

well old 2strokes r usually pretty terrible by now due to itz wear and tear...if u really wanna fix ur bike n get it going rather well it involves quite a bit of $$ to do a total reconditioning...most scooter shops will be able to settle it for u lah but of coz..check them out n c which 1 r u comfortable with bah..the $$ still hav to be spend
