hi everyone. newbie here. i know this is a thread for LV but i post some questions on other super 4 thread but no one seems to reply me. As I see that this thread is active, I decide to try my luck here.

 

1. what is the difference between fully and semi synthetic oil? which one should we use and at what mileage should we do oil change? any particular brands u guys recommend?

2. HID kit vs osram nightbreaker vs philips xtreme.. anyone of u guys using? price wise?

3. is it ok to use car brand coolant to top up into our bike coolant?

Maybe someone who knows better can assist our fren slownsteady here? No.2 regarding the bulb, perhaps u can ask our loves-to-change-accessories-including-light-bulb-fren, Infernalwar.hehehe..

I try my best to answer u bro..

1.class 2B what bike u riding?nvr change eo before?? Its the same. If s4 ur first ever ride. Fully synthetic better than semi n more ex. Interval every 5000km change eo. Ive used agip,bellray,maxima,ows,fuchs silkolene. I recomend Fuchs silkolene.

 

2. HID is ILLEGAL. THe super white bright irriating light is HID.

Osram nightbreaker is normal white bulb which is better than stock normal ones cos its whiter n throw the beam further. other brand all same. sofar ive used osram nightbreaker and thumbs up at NSHW. But it have a short lifespan.HID kits price varies, depend on quality, osram bulvs etc is $60 per pair.

 

3. If its coolant i think shud be ok lor.. Make sure its thru the legal way. Not illegal way, bike confirm spoil. biar dgn cara halal. Kalau cara haram confirm

I try to answer wat is ur question...

1) Usually for 4 stroke bike is preferable to use fully synthetic....ur engine internal gears will be in good and last long condition as fully synthetic oil is abit thicker then normal engine oil.... Maxima Xtra is the best cost abt $21 per bottle...

2) Currently i'm using osram nightbreaker i hav been used it since 2008 may till now....

3) Coolant wise not too worry all is the same and advise u to use Maxima coolant...

guys...lookin for l.v carbon fibre...tried on garage sales...no luck..any other deals outside..cn pm me thx..heard bout ur arab st outing...cool2..shall ride one dae together..peace to all and ride safely..

This is what my mech told me, use fully if you go touring. Semi for normal Singapore road usage.

 

 

2. HID kit vs osram nightbreaker vs philips xtreme.. anyone of u guys using? price wise?

 

Use HID with slim ballast better. Low beam normal light. High beam very bright white light. Reason cus if one night you riding with your high beam which is the white light, you can quickly switch back to low beam for normal light if got TP. That way not so "bo chui". = )

 

 

3. is it ok to use car brand coolant to top up into our bike coolant?

 

I use SPC Coolant. I think its more up to individual on which ones they prefer. Some prefer engine ice, some prefer normal ones.
