Hey guys I got a LeoVince End Can with staless steel headers with my spec 3 from the previous owner who removed the muffler. I feel the bike lacks power, sometimes can't even beat a normal street car at the traffic lights. According to one of my friends, aftermarket headers and end can require carb tuning, and also due to the reduced back pressure from the exhaust system which is different from stock specifications. He also say the Yoshimura full system will follow the factory spec for the exhaust system and so it's better. Can anyone enlighten my on this? Will putting back the muffler help?

What your friend says is true...My best advice for you is to get dynojet kits, you cant go wrong with it. You can get it at HKL or Racewerks...about 300ish with dyno tuning...if i'm not wrong.

This was my ex Vtec 3...on dyno tuning with dynojet kits...

hi bro, LV doesnt have a full system to begin with but using SS 4-1 header do make alot of diff. Urs not a revo i believe, just normal tuning and change of jettings is the way to make it respond better. A more expensive and better method is dynojet kits.. And its gd to have to stock dbkiller. For inspection.. If its too loud for ya ears fix the db killer cos 4-1 header do roar loud!

If don't mind me asking what are dynojet kits? Is it a kit which change the fuel jets in the carburetor? What about changing of "jettings"? Does it mean it will result in higher fuel consumption? Sorry I am new to all this high performance tuning.

Also, I think the previous owner say he still have the stock headers. If I put back the muffler, and change it back to stock headers but with the leovince end can, will I still need tuning?

No need tuning. But if u do intend to change, sell me ur stainless steel header. Hahaha... I last time own one but sold off cus too loud liao cannot tahan. Some more my balls not so big enough. Haha... But now, wanna change 4-1 again man. Haizzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Haha in fact I feel like selling off both the headers and endcan and maybe get a yoshimura full system, which I am led to believe is easier to or doesn't require tuning. I am not the kind who want to increase performance that much, if I can get stock performance is good enough (but look good at the same time, hence why I want a SS header). It's just that I feel my bike is way under performing now and since it might be because of the exhaust system currently on my bike I want to do something about it. But I am broke after getting the bike and adding a bunch of things to it though haha.

Yes, for a beginner u do noe alot LOL.. dynojets is a set of jettings that increase the performance, after changing to the jets then go dynorun. Doesnt mean do dynojet ur fuel consumption is worst, jbat did dynojet n it actually improves mileage with right settings. Yeah can use bigger jet kits, more fuel consumption if nvr go tuning.when put silencer n use stock headers,no need tune also can but up to u if u wana tip top response bike then tuning la. :)

Why do u wana sell off the full system? It only requires tuning $30 to make the bike better. Change to bigger jettings cost less than $100 it to make the bike better response and not sluggish or heavy..if u really wana sell then post it here.. Hehe..

Bro, wad do u mean by tunning?.. Isit tuning e carbs?, as in synchronise all e 4 carbs.. Sorry fer askin anw.. Juz drop by n e conversation caught my eye.

Thanks bros for all your replies. So I go tuning and change to bigger jets should be ok? Any suggestions where to tune? I was introduced to Unique Motors in Toh Guan by the guy who sold the bike to me, not sure if it's any good.

And also earlier this afternoon I went to put the silencer back on the end can and discovered that it might be a fake, as in the kind that was fabricated to look like a silencer but is actually just a big through hole. Damn, never check when I got everything from the previous owner. Any idea if I can go back to G-Max and buy the silencer?

Wah how you know my bike grey? So dynojet is referring to bigger jets or is it something else? Anyway I see the silencer like didn't make any difference in the sound and it's really just one big hole so I thought it's fake, and I couldn't put in the securing screw also, and now it's just jammed in my end can haha.

I will PM you my number meet up someday then maybe you can teach me more:cool:
