i heard from my friend that for car windscreen, there is a solution to spray on the windscreen to keep it clear and that rain droplets can slip off from the windscreen easily.

Does anyone knows if there is a similar product to be sprayed on a helmet visor to keep it clear? Also, is there any product to be sprayed on the internal of the visor to prevent misting?

The solution your friend is talking about is most probably RainX.

Use only RainX brand for your visor. You will regret if using other brand of similar sort ... :goodluck:

yes, my friend did mention that it is rainX.

But the visor material is different from windscreen. Will it damage the visor in the long run?

Also, during heavy rain, the inside of the visor tend to accumulate a layer of mist and I need to use my hand to wipe it off to clear my visor.

Any fellow biker can recommend any product to prevent the misting? Or shalll I also spray rainX on the inside of my visor?

Hi, guys

I have touched on the topic of water repellents on the outside of the visor before, it is somewhere in the forum. After trying out quite a number of ways, I have found a way that solved my problem.

On the exterior side of the visor I use the wax that I used to wax my bike (turtle wax).

On the interior, to prevent fogging, I bought stick-on insert during the bikeasia recently. You might be able to get this at motoworld in future depending on whether motoworld is able to clinch the distributorship.

Hope this helps.

Saw a product at HomeFix for helmets to prevent misting and fogging. Brand is 'Holts' and it costed $7.50 for a big bottle. Read the instructions, spray and wipe off will do.
