if this is wat u describing, can u confirm that its the brakes? coz u describe sounds like wat i feel, but i had tot it was front end chatter from the suspensions. was gonna fiddle with the damper to improve things a little, but wouldn help if it was the brakes after all.

The erratically spaced holes drilled into the discs are causing the sound. The holes are there for quicker cooling, water dispersion and lightening purposes. When you hit the brakes hard.. the pads are rubbing on the discs and producing a low pitch high frequency vibration which is being felt and heard.

 

Long ago, disc brakes did not have holes or slots drilled into them and what resulted was squealing sounds emitted when the bikes were moving.

 

Accumulation of brake dust on the pads and discs also aggravate the sound production. Try using a hard brush to scrub your discs with soap. You will be surprised how much black brake dust you can take out. Taking out the brake pads once in a while to sand down the layer of glaze that has built up will help too.

 

But if you really cannot stand the noise at all and want to eleminate it completely............. coat the discs with oil.

Guaranteed 100% no more sound.... sadly also no more brakes!!!

With all the litre bikes getting slimmer and smaller, like a 600cc bike, it's nice to see a bike that has the "real" size of a litre bike. I think the eyes look like Spiderman's eyes, albeit inverted. Looks nice actually.

 

Pipes must be big and bad ass. The 06 R6's pipe looks inadequate. I never liked the MotoGP styled pipes that come out at the side, looks like a tumour, something you just need to get rid of.

 

Even the 600cc K6 is out, looks like the liter K6.

 

We'll just have to wait and see what Honda has up its sleeves. I hope it's got slipper clutch.

..... i'm used to it oreadi .... i'm currently praying n same time counting down to burnt coil ... seems like almost everyone got it left me ... my 1 yr warranty up soon, had to bring my blade for checkup b4 the warranty ends ................

Can’t remember which mag. It predicted Yamaha releasing 2 versions of R1, one would be a costlier version, which we now know is a LE model, and a new R6.

 

If this mag is right, we would see a 1000cc VFR this month that makes about 140hp. A Vee Five Racer it is not if the engine can crank out only 140HP. Also expect a 1000cc naked bike from Honda, or at the very least, more naked women posing with litre bikes like the one posted by Abang Chilly.

 

The RC211V’s V5 is good for another season in 2006. When engine capacity is limited to 800cc in 2007, Honda may detune and reuse the MotoGP V5 for road bikes then.
