My Oakley can't go in after I put on an AGV.

No wonder I haven't heard from the Tamburini rider. I heard he crashed it. :help:

Did hear other comment abt Arai & Shoei. (both gd & bad)

For me personally i still prefer Arai, i'm owning 3pcs now(1open,2FF).

My reason of getting Arai is becos of the outer shell.

Due to so call of me having a small head(XS-S) Arai will look better for me cos their shell is smaller, likewise Shoei/other brand (S-XL) their Outer Shell is same size(big), so when i wear it, myself/other will find it look so weird & funny.

Like big head puppet! :weep:

current X-11 comes in three different size shell...unlike olden days where 1shell fit all.

current X-11 shell comes in "S" for Xs-S, L for M~L, XXL for XL~XXL. :thumb:

Might want to take a look at the IXS helmet that Biketech21 has just brought in. Pictured in my siggy on the DRZ shots.

The lightest helmet I have ever bought. Shape of helmet keeps head very stable even in excess of 200 KMH, no buffetting like the Arai.

Less than $500.

Hmm oh yes forgot to mention that problem that made them famous

Best of all when you tried to fix it back on your own, it never reaches the other end

Perhaps the rubber shrink

Some people has certain reasons to buy Arai like what Tweety mentioned

As for me I willl try to avoid arai even if I have to settle down for much lower cost helmets like HJC I'd rather support them basically they are cheap

There are good low cost helmets out there that we dare not try

Just like handphones most S'poreans would settle for Nokia they dare not try phones like SonyEricsson or Motorola

Though SonyEricsson is gaining popular Motorola I would say has improved a lot

Just my 2 cents of view

for arai,it really a love-hate kind of grovvy thing.

Chilly, my warranty lapsed this April... 19+++ Km.

Ismail's at 21+++Km, lucky him it still under warranty by dealer.

Seriously, how many are we in the BBQ club?

By now, we should have numbers to shout loud enough that Honda Japan can hear echoes over there.

not a case of "if " but "when".....

what are the early symptoms of coil getting burned??

mine has already hit the 20k km... and recently the start up needs an extra cranking before engine starts... is this it?

and by the way , i heard someone commented on Gold Fren brake pads and that they are very lousy... i just change it 2 days ago and my thoughts are the same...

there seems to be a funny sound every time i brake... haiz..

The coil on my bike burnt last year in August the night before I was to leave for Sepang. Luckily I managed to change it at BS (bike under warranty still) on Saturday morning and then rode up to Sepang with AT and Rommel. Mileage then was 30,000km.

Now my bike is at 55,000km... wondering if it is going to burn again soon. Looks like I am going to bring the bike to Looi's and get Meng Tong to check the coils out for me to see if they are OK. If showing signs of failing, I am going to change them out regardless how little the burnt areas may be.

Coz next weekend, I will be at Sepang. Gorgeous, delightful, orgasmic Sepang.

Come to think of it... I put on a new pair of Michelin Pilot Power Race for the April 1st weekend at Sepang and next week I am replacing them with another set!!! :faint:
