Yep, very heavy. No flood on the hwy though, but I saw a village being flooded just off the hwy. I cannot guarantee tomorrow will not flood if the rain continues.

Not so much about riding in the rain but I think the road surfaces should have loosened up and potholes should be breeding like nobody's business.

Malaysian roads are like that lah... not enough tar to make the stone chips stick properly. Cut cost. Tar expensive.

Yeah, pot holes are sprouting up on the left lane, keep to the right lane.

Hi guys...

Bratz, single seat cover was selling for about $330 from Mah.

Here are some pix from the trip.

1. Taken at the clubhouse at Bukkit Tinggi. A nice golf course is in the low grounds just after the tree. While we had breakfast, we could hear a few Ferraris echoing through the hills. They must be playing corners like us. The sound was fantastic. Just after we finished breakfast, they arrived at the clubhouse. I think they were the same ones that passed us during our last Fraser's Hill trip. Chilly, where are the Ferrari pix? The ride up is much nicer and less demanding compared to Fraser's Hill.

2. The French town in the background.

3. Cameron Highlands. The corners are much nicer than Fraser's or Bt. Tinggi (or Berjaya Hills as it is known now). While conering, can see plantation, very scenic. Over 50km of corners if I remembered correctly. Stopped here to have tea. The 1st teahouse on the way up serves very good teh tarik, has mint and chocolate taste, and very frothy.

4. My hotel room up in Cameron. At the balcony, can keep an eye on the bike.

5. Pasar malam at Cameron. The fried crabs cost only RM5.

6. This bee man cuts up the bees wax and put them in jars of honey. You're supposed to chew on the wax after dipping them into the honey.

7. Can't remember the name of the temple up in Cameron.

8. The oracle I was writing about sits in this little hut atop a hill. These folks are queuing hours before opening hours. Below the hill, the queue goes on. I gave this a missed after seeing the queue. Guess we won't know about the coil issue now.

9. Taken at the Boh Tea plantation. They have so many flavours of tea that we can't find here. The tea processing warehouse has a nice refreshing tea smell.

Chilly / Ronald, where are the pix? Post em up.

My cellphone has stopped working after getting wet in the rain on the way back. I had lost most of your numbers. I know I received a lot of sms when I got back, but the screen is not working so I couldn't read any of them. Thank you to those who sent me season greetings.

Nice job Tashi... Keep it up... You & your bike are like husband & wife man..

Yes, it's my 3rd wife. Cannot say 1st, later kena pull ear. Mountainous roads are perfect for sportsbikes to carve corners, especially when the roads are so scenic, it was breathtaking.

Before this trip, I hated going to Cameron Highlands, because everytime I go up, I felt like throwing up in the car ... even with me behind the wheel. Now I'll make it a point to go up if I'm going back to Ipoh. Just go up for tea, and then come back down. Even in Berjaya Hills, we were practically riding through thick clouds. Felt like riding in heaven. That morning, it is definitely one of the most exhilarating moments for me. The chilling cool air, the clouds, the corners, the ravines ... ahhhh, moments like these make me forget all the hardships I have gone through in life.

Even my pipe sounded different while high up. The popping sound in high altitude reminds me of the backfire sounds of the Ridge Racer game.

Just typing this post makes me feel happy, as I have to recall my experience.

I have to recommend anyone to go up at least once in a lifetime, while your body is still abled, and while you're still riding a sportsbike.

It made me forget samsara for a moment. This small taste of nirvana is worth it.

In other news, Hamster from Top Gear is riding again, guess what bike?

His stock pipe sounds loud.

A local review for the 2006 Blade. Initially BS called me to do this article, I agreed, but later declined. I want to appear on the cover of Forbes magazine, not Moto Culture.

Rahman's smoke signal lights actually got stolen, and he got the orange ones.

If I did the review, I would highlight the coil issue and open up a can of worms. But then the article will never get published. Haha.

This is the apartment complex where I stay. Pool looks nice and it is heated. Nice when you are in it... not when you come out! Everything will shrink. Wahahahah!!

1. [Chilly's camera] Lucky this sorry assed dude came along. I left my jacket zip opened, and the passports flew out. This insect love nest collector saw one flew out of my jacket. The other passport, I had to comb through the 2nd link bridge. Luckily the officers were helpful. Managed to find it on the 2nd sweep.

2. Ronald's VFR, Chilly's R1300, my Blade.

3. [Chilly's camera] If this pic were an animated gif, you could actually see us rubbing ourselves. If you squint your eyes, you can see fake snow falling from the background. This is Starhill.

4. Entrance from Starhill to Marriot Hotel. The dotted stars actually change colors. If taken with slow shutter and a tripod, there's a very warm glow to this entrance, very nice.

5. We arrived at the McDonald highway very early. We left the hotel around 6am.

6. Ronald doing the Daniel Craig pout, he's bringing sexy back. 008 (ling ling phat).

7. This fountain reminds me of the chocolate fountain at The Line at Shangri La Hotel. I must be hungry now.

8. These sweet juicy ass corns from Cameron cost RM3 for 1 piece. They are really huge, sweet and Sunkist juicy. Corn juices were flying everywhere when I ate it and actually shot Augustina in the eye. How glamourous.

9. Check out the ravine and thick clouds in the background. The rubbish in the background spoilt the pic. :sian:

You should plan to go up to Cameron sometime. No, never heard of the 1001 corner in TH. Does it exist?

Happy new Year everyone!

Happy New Year to all!!

JB - I bought and installed the volt meter at Motoworld, price can't remember. And get a digital 1. When going 140++ the readings will go haywire for my analog 1. I really recommend all RR riders to at least get the volt meter. At least you'll know when your coil is gonna go.
