Hmm was thinking of getting those carbon fiber engine cover instead of this kind.. any comments on review on this type of protection compared to those half piece engine case protector?

if u go for bling bling then get the cf types and maybe abit cheaper.

for protection wise get those reputable brands like gbracing, woodcraft..

Oh ok..... Actually not very necessary unless u always ride in the day time or get stuck at jams....

Concur! Just ride at a constant speed ( about 90-110 km/hr ... ), ride in the night or when the traffic is smooth ... your temperature should range within 85 - 95 degrees C.

LIFE IS YOURS... DO WHAT YOU DO BEST!

dear all, I am considering to buy a 1st-hand CBR1000RR fireblade in the coming months. I would appreciate if you all can share your experience in buying this model of bike from the motorshops? Which are the reliable ones which provide reasonable pricing and honest service? What is the current market rate of such unit with insurance?

I am a 25-yr old rider within a year of obtaining class 2. Thanks in advance.

YO! Fellow CBR riders, just like to know anyone in here did the airduct intake flapper mod? If there's someone who did it, what is the outcome? There were mixed responses regarding this mod with some saying it's a good mod improving low end and some saying it made the bike "softer" and runs leaner....

Comments, anyone?

Thank you.

Cheers!

I posted an article about exhaust flow in this thread once. After you read it, you will not do this mod.

Even sports cars have this by design. You'll lose the bottom end if you do this mod. A friend of mine used to work in BS and he asked one of the Honda Japan engineers about it. Long story short, leave it.

Try Looi's.

I heard the 2010 models have the prices lowered recently, which is a good news. They cannot sell at that high a price.

Maybe we can get together to get a good deal.

Here's a special edition Repsol color raced by Dani Pedrosa. Anyone has this paint job?

Well, its the air intake duct flapper mod that I'm actually asking about, not the exhaust flapper. I already did the exhaust flapper mod & seems ok to me so far. Anyway its reversible, so I'll just leave it for now.

As for the air intake flapper mod, you have any ideas on it?

Hmmm.. If the paintwork is used by dani pedrosa, its abit strange and unusual tt it comes with number 69 on its head fairing, since number 69 is used by nicky hayden...

It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth.
