I'm ridin one at the moment. It mebbe an oldie but truly young and strong which can easily put other new generation bike of the same class to shame hahaha..

Waddya wan to kno bout this bike which perhap I can help. If not bcos of it brutal weight, it should be the perfect bike for any occasion near or far far away. Anyway, its brute strength and awesome pulling power would make anyone ignore bout the weight and nevertheless a silly grin which always appear on one face when the throttle were squeeze ( due to the joy of pure sudden adrenaline rush and also strong gush of wind slapping on the cheeks hehehehe..)

Thanks dudes! i haf pmed roger already. basically wanted to check out the market for this bike.. i haf checked out one in e forum already n im not sure if its a good buy--> http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166646

its a '93 zx1100-D1 model, e very 1st of e D model zx11. Everything seems ok to me after viewed it and i love its power and e roar of its stock pipe. basically im worried abt whether im able to resale this bike when i wan to change bike next time. doesn't seem to be a demand for this old model. and one more thing my third party insurance costs a bomb-- a hefty 1k for insurance from NTUC wif 0% NCD. Any comments n recommendations ?

Hi ar_teck,

Now I know how come I receive a PM all of a sudden. One very impt thing abt buying a grand ninja is the wear and tear issues. You have to be able to cope with it. Do NOT expect things to be running fine for 2-3 yrs without having to replace any parts. If you are someone who likes to ride ONLY, then I suggest u get a brand new bike.

Seriously speaking, I bought the bike 2yr back coz I was still in sch, no financial resources to commit to a 20+k brand new bike. So got this and do it up slowly. I would say that its a reliable bike with "bulletproof" engine as all kawa fans would have already know.

Resale of this bike is restricted to the demand. Value wise, it cannot get any lower. If you are interested, we can arrange for a meet up. It's always easier to talk with the bike around and I can show you wat to look out for.

I paid abt $800+ for 3rd party coverage by NTUC with 15% NCD.

All in all, the fixed cost of the bike is low, only the variable component needs to be taken into consideration.

ya wear n tear cost is one thing man.. im still schooling too haha.. insurance costing 1000 n road tax costing 500 will mean having to pay 1.5k every year atop all e maintainance.. but e power i really yearn for it man.. i haf read some sites regarding this model n heard that this bike was e king of e road b4 busa came out in 99.. comparable to blackbird too.. its power more raw as compared to the blackbird which is more refined n controlled.. still considering mann.. anyways thanks for e info man..

If u switch over to AIG would the insurance cost be the same?

My Dream Car, see who wants to cut my lane and tail-gate me......

AIG dun take this bike. So far, only mitsui and NTUC willing to quote. For obvious reason, I've switched to NTUC.
