Hi guys! Am planning to upgrade to a Class 2 come December!

Went down to Mah Motors the other day and fell in love with the Thruxton! Loved the middle rear controls and the overall cafe racer look of it!

But I was told a Bonnieville can actually be modded to a cafe racer style as well! And that a Bonnie might actually be more worth it since its about 2k cheaper! So I thought that I could get a Bonnie and swap out to rear controls and get a cafe racer seat, clip ons or clubman handlebars and achieve the same cafe racer look!

What do you guys think!

And how about the maintenance for either a Bonnie or a Thruxton.. From my knowledge, Triumphs are pretty rare on the roads so getting spare parts for them would be hard and are there any other places that does servicing for Triumphs other than Mah themselves?

I'd love to hear input from you guys!

Cheers!

For that $2k difference.... buy the thrux. There's nothing like riding the real deal. And modding a standard T100 into a Thrux needs money too right? And I'm sure it'll cost more than $2k.

The T100, Thrux and Scrambler series are model engines and maintenence is simple. Parts are easily available thru agent or online. Plenty of accessories as well.

Just changed the original buzzing speedo, without the needle to a smaller one and fitted a chrome front fender, apparently from a cm125, which is just plug and play and a gn125 headlamp.Errrrrr, dont mind the left signal ah. Hahahahaha

Hey guys, not sure if this has been asked before, but would appreciate your input.

Currently, riding a CB750(RC42) and intending to change spoke rims. The specification are 120/70-ZR17 and 150/70-ZR17 (front/rear). After some researching, found out DRZ-SM have an almost similar specification of 120/70R17 and 140/70R17 (front/rear). From my knowledge, both bikes should have similar rims size which is 17' and only the tyre specifications are different. So this should mean i can fix a DRZ-SM spoke rims on a CB750(RC42).

Hoping to hear your views.Thanks

Hi sir, is not that easy that you thought. U need to find the right hub that able to fix your brake disc and also rear hub for the sprocket.

I order everything from rs hub, spoke and rim for my z750. Total cost me cost to 4k.

Ohok, thanks for clarification.I knew hubs would also need to be changed, but didn't know it would be a big issue for dual front brake. I guess thats why you don't see any CB400 or CB750 changed to spoke wheels. Will definitely do more research as i really want spokes for my bike.

SK is located at AMK Autopoint #05-31. Tel 64819580. Be prepared to pay premium though.

Alternatively is to head to Bike Fabricator to look for Ah Ann. Shop is at 10 Kaki Bukit Road 2, First East Building #03-27. Tel 96793354. Ah Ann's work is also top notch and much reasonable than SK.
