Hey guys Will not consider T100 anymore...No much guys can service it in right..

as I still got a killer whale bike at home for Exhibition ride..

 

So I will get a AXXXX plate on the small W400 to zoom around will be quite fun at low runing cost.

Ok, here are the things to look for in the Enfield Bullet.

 

Drum brakes mean that you have to rely heavily on engine braking, and drum brakes will need pretty regular care, since water and mud get in there pretty often.

 

The Bullet is pretty top heavy - like most other English bikes of the time.

 

The tappets (which drive the valves) will become loose, and will make a clacking noise when the engine is cold. Once the engine warms up, it will expand and the noise will subside.

 

The best mod is the exhaust, and maybe a lighter flywheel if you're hardcore. The engine is slow to rev up and not very high revving for a single cylinder engine too.

 

There was this story about a Bullet that was exported to Switzerland for some enthusiast, and the bike seized within 100 kms. The new owner was just riding it back home.

 

There are a lot of bad sides to the Bullet. It is no replacement for a Hornet, or any other naked 500 - 650. It's in a league of it's own. There is no concept of top speed. There is no concept of performance.

 

It is however the pinnacle of retro cool. If you're into that kind of stuff, go ahead, it'll be a great experience.

Sorry brothers, heavy rain at my area on friday night. I am not confident to ride in the heavy rain thus went there in a 4 wheeler.

 

By the way, the Zephyr was delivered to my carpark last night, parked side by side with the W400. The W400 actually looks bigger than the Zephyr...strange...
