enquiry on entry level scrambler

just started to get the hang of it. used to riding 2b cruiser.

 

so far only on-the-road, no time to go dirt yet. but weight and power wise definitely can control and handle.

 

tried a xr400 before, like riding rodeo bull, that's why decided to get 2b scram first.

 

oh, good. start with something small.

if you have 2a license, it is good to get something bigger cc. more power and no need to upgrade later.

went to Projekt Rev, met Matthew, no XR for sales at the moment.

had left my contact there, he told me someone might wanna sell her XR200.

been to many bike shop but not many xr200 on sales.

Saw one at dirtwheel and one at the shop next to dirt wheel (yusri's shop).

not in very good condition though.

DIY cable tie IU run on battery

DIY shroud

DIY front mud guard

DIY rear tail piece

DIY cable tie rear brake light and signal

damaged front signal

bald front tyre

none street legal rear tyre

engine slightly oil leak

bend foot rest

worn handle grip

messy wiring due to DIY i guess

 

asking for 2.3k.

hi hi, bought a XR200 today!

 

1.2k, FS plate, original condition with good condition engine.

owner buying car hence selling cheap!

need some fresh oil change the seat cover and replace the front tyre and it is good for trail!

 

can anyone recommend a good shop to service scrambler? which shop has the cheapest tyre?

 

so exciting, once it is done we can go for some trail!

looks like u got a good buy there! congrats! wat kind of tire r u looking 4? trail or a a off road tire? be warn dat with a off road tire u can fail yr bike inspection. 4 trail tires i would go 4 the michilin t 61s,ample enough on the dirt(dry) n better road holding on the road than most other tires.

hi,there is a list of shops here on the forum. depends 2 on which area u wanna go b4 i recommend u a shop. but most shop will have 2 order the tyre from the distributor. or they will push u something else.

prefer shop at ubi or kaki bukit cos i stay bedok.

dirt wheel's staff seems very arrogant when i was there sourcing for XR... no no for me.

 

my previous regular shop is planet motor, from tzr125 to cb400 to cbr900rr all go back to him.

but i don't see him service scrambler that much and definitely no scrambler tyre in his shop.

if its kaki bukit,there is a shop called projekt reveloution. its juz b4 motoworld. they do road,road race n dirt bikes there 2. go chk it out n look 4 matthew. closing time is abt 9 pm.

sorry,2 hear abt wat happened at dirt wheel,suppose u caught them on a bad day. LOL! it happens 2 every1,i guess dat we will have a off day where we r cranky! hahaha!

hi,they share the same shop area. mezzo is downstairs in the basement n projekt revelution handles all the motor work 4 the race bikes etc. so its 2 different set ups working 2gether 2 compliment each other. good snergy!!!

got bike serviced, tyre changed, get new helmet, guards, jersey, glove for dirt riding.

not yet get the boots, not enough time to get at one time...
