hmm...

should be the other way round...

what i suspect is that cause of the higher power draw...

the left coil is linked to your rpm...

so you can try to do like my carspeed to do a bypass...

if you still want to sell off the 1 coil then opt for right protec and left stock...

this will improve your pickup...

eh alvin, how come protec on right better than left if also got use stock coil on either side?

@alvinyansg ..can indicate us on the diagram below how the bypass being done .... .. tks

btw follow up to robzombie Q ... since protec is much power than stock, why it should goes to right rather than left and also since the cdi auto shut the right at 6krpm? ...

protec v3 gives you more lower end power and torque...

you need the higher torque at lower speeds and your right coil will shut off at 6.5k rpm...

so with v3 on your right you will have the xtra torque at your lower end...

@robbedzombie .. best to know must test yourself ... play around with the coils for to have a better pic ...

I'm too lazy now to do it on my bike ... think must have the youngster to do it and share here ... lol

since our cdi have the limiter to shut down the right at 6.5k rpm ..

check and record at 6k , 7k & 8k rpm ..

test1: both stock coils on left and right

test2: left stock , right v3

test3 : left v3 , right stock

test4: both v3 if have ...

with these test .. no doubt every bike behaves differently .. not only you will know the outcome but for us to have your share ... cheers!! ..

btw .. regards to ur last Q on mj upgrade .. this pic will give the guideline ..

anyway the above is up to individual...

i think that we need more of the torque when we are picking up speed and moving off and hence i suggest v3 on the right for the boost in the torque...

unless the stock is superior after 6.5k rpm .. think it's the same if you put it on either left or right since both spark plugs ignites till 6.5k rpm where right will auto shut beyond that .... reasons as stated

"The DTSi technology incorporates twin spark plugs at either ends of the combustion chamber for faster and better combustion. Single sparkplug meant slower burning of the air-fuel mixture and sub-optimal combustion chamber characteristics. This is the heart of the new technology from Bajaj. But, its benefits are fully realised only after it is combined with a computerised direct ignition (CDI) system and new generation throttle response system."

true also...

well if you really need that extra push at higher speeds then go ahead to install on left...

like i say is personal preference...

i think the time when most torque is needed is at lower speeds and pick up so for me i will put on right as i don't need that much torque at higher speeds...
