confirm its scratch on the speedo and not the plastic protective plastic you never remove?

if you wan try juzz wheels

they do the tinting...

no sure a good move to use tinted or any form of plastic stick on the speedo .... I've seen a pulsar with the plastic stick on the speedo after long run the plastic wear off but cannot removed totally from the speedo ... the results the speedo panel become so blurr and like scratches all over the panel!! .... when i asked him what happen, he told me he forgot to remove the plastic cover until it becomes like that .. the plastic layer bonded together and damaged the panel display.

Mine tinted at my cousin carshop for free! Haha. I'm not really worried about it melting cos it's rejection of uv and heat is 97% haha. If my tinted sticker melt means can cook egg liao. Bad thing is daytime can't see anything but night time looks cool as hell.

Nope . There are quite a few metal polishers out there.

For rust removal, I use a Japanese product. It's like a rubber. Will bring during next BTWO and show you.

Erm.. Guys.. At Wat mileage do u all change ur eo? 2k or 5k?

 

2.5k max for me when in SG.

 

On this touring trip too if the oil is my usual mobil1 FS 10W40. If not and the oil is of lesser quality, I change it at 1.5k. I'm sure a lot of you will think it's an overkill but the EO is very cheap (3-4 dollars) so I am putting my bike's lifespan first

Hahaha I miss giving Shadow a real pampering session. Touring definitely takes a toll on a bike, with additional tank scratches, road dirt and mud that in time also create scratches and paint removal, rust sneaking on the bike every chance it got, and of course, intensive mileage also gives the engine a real work out.

Oh and I had a real heartache when i saw that riding on gravel roads scratched my rims paint some places on my rear wheel look like an army of rocks attacked the paint.. Before you go touring, you don't think about what can happen to the bike (besides accidents or falls I mean), but after a while you are reminded that touring is not like your regular commuting use of the bike

 

But it makes me want to take care of the bike even more !

When I get back home, the very first thing I will do is not rest or unpack, but grab Shadow's bath bag and head to the water tap hehe...
