Hey guys, i have a pulsar 200 with stock headlight but i'm thinking of changing the bulb to one of those brighter white colored lights. the legal ones not HID.

But thing is i don't know if he carries bulb that will work for pulsar. according to users manual, the stock headlight bulb is 35/35 W-H7..

 

You guys know of any shop that has? And also I've read this article saying they change the pulsar's coil plate with the avenger's one to change the headlight wattage to 55/60W to power higher watt bulbs. anyone heard of this done in SG? is it legal?

Bro , you might want to try Osram night breaker plus...some of us using this bulb..I do!!!

There no such thing as legal white bulb, Just avoid ROV/TP when u see them. Unless manufacture default is White Bulb than is legal.

Anyway I'm using H4 bulb 55/60W. U will notice a slightly melt on the reflector if u going to put that not a big deal.

Anyone got Spare:

 

1 pair of REAR stock signal light for P200

1 stock pulsar bulb.

1 pair of T10 stock light.

 

inspection is on nxt month 12-Dec. Nxt mth onward will be parking my bike beside rov everyday. :cry::cry:

pulsar headlight uses HS1 socket...

which H4 can fit also...

one problem that you will face if you put in H4 bulbs is the heat produce due to the higher wattage...

and your reflector might melt...

this is cause by the pulsar electrical system using 35/35W...

H4 is using 60/55W...

hence the bulb is not able to reach its optimal wattage and heat is generated...

this will not only cause melting in your reflector but also the bulb life will be shorten...

as for white headlight bulb is it legal?

hmm...

really depends...

some will let you pass some will not...

white light is really just for show only...

throw is terrible esp in rain and fog...

if you really want better throw and whiter light can use osram night breaker+

tested on pulsars to be good...

safe on your reflector...

for changing the coil, if you use night breaker+ no need to change...

just slight lag in changing from low to high beam...

 

the magneto coil is $95 at UM for avenger 180...

tested in singapore avenger 180 coil can use for pulsar 180 ug3...

but its in very very limited stock...

as for avenger 200 ones to work you might need to change out not only the magneto coil but also the stator plates...

this is not tested yet...

alaaa u only fail once only. i went thru each practical lessons 5-6 times.

I juz ordered an osram which is white color..wana test try? Gona be my 1st time tryin also..bt its nt e NB mfk talkin abt though..hehe..cost is $20

you can get at autobacs a pair...

but can't rmb the price...

H4 bulbs are 60/55W dual beams...

or you can order online with free shipping from uk...

can't rmb the website...

need to go home check...

will be cheaper...

 

the reason why nb+ being 60/55W and still not burn your reflector is cause it has a lower temp than the rest of the H4 bulbs...

Osram Night Breaker Plus can just get from eBay. One pair is around $28 or $14/ea. Ordered before, should reached in about 1-2 weeks.

slowly get use to the throttle response of the revo...

but the weight should not be a problem...

pulsar is already heavy...so s4 should be ok with the weight...

for bumpy course...

look at the 1st bump...once you reach the 1st one look ahead...grip the tank tight...lean forward...throttle slightly and let go to get over each bump...tap rear brake to slow yourself down after each bump...if you still can't do that...just throttle enough to go through all the bumps...

better to take points than to fall and fail...
