haha make it a official explaination...

 

 

For all bikes like pulsar itself, the fuel consumption is affect by a number of things... Eg: size of tires, hard or gentle throttling, tuning etc... throttling is the only reaction based out of the few examples i gave.. So hard throttling means when u see green light. u full throttle the bike to accelerate a whole load faster than other cars, and continue to hit full speed u want to achieve. This will cause more fuel to be used.

 

Gentle throttling will be like u increase ur turning of the throttle slowly and change gears at the acceptable rpm u need to slowly achieve ur desired speed. This will help u save more fuel.

 

So adding on to with better tuning, smaller tires (will cause tires to have less contact with the floor so ur speed will go faster, bike lighter) plus a load of other factors, u will get better consumption. ^^

 

So not all will get the same fuel consumption. So basically so many long winded stuff, the answer to ur question is that the average fuel consumption for pulsar can be safely put as 45km/l average

yala , i just did some calculations, which means i hit reserve at around 12 litres!!! which means i got 5 litres extra!! excluding 2 litres which is reserve of cos. dat makes a total of 19 litres. damn!!!

 

anywayyaazz. usualy i wack 100 above wen going home, so basicaly it effects my mileage.

 

anyway, i also like to whack on throttle. i think suvespa can vouch on that. lol... but for me, i like to whack la. the torque very shiok. anyway, my fc always hovers around 34-40km/l. but if relek2 one, i don't know la.

Just wondering how much your Pulsar takes you on one full tank? Lets take 180cc Pulsar, a full tank, how many kilometres till you hit the reserve? (not till you dry the tank empty!)

 

Just wondering your experience on the same, if you ever calculated once! Thanks for the attention.

 

 

my p200 is close to 700km on full tank before hitting reserve. usually around 688km before i have to switch to reserve. that calculates to about 43km/L

easy to say .... bajaj pulsar is d BEST fuel consumption bike in singapore!!! hahahaa ... it cant whack hard but ... its a winner for fuel saving!!! yeah!!!

sad to say.. but bajaj pulsar is not the best FC bike in singapore. cubs are the best as i know it. their fc can range from 48 to 60 km/L

 

however due to their small tank and lightweight (hence eat less fuel), i think when weighing both factors of tank capacity and FC.. then bajaj is the best

i noe got pple ride 70 max and the FC is damn good 1 full tank can hit 900plus then reserve but at 70km/h u will be avoiding expressways cos u will be road hogging.

ya la.. agree it is not depended on petrol grade..

u using 92? i wont recomend it. at least 95 la. if its not a hassle to u, try going jb to top up d best fuel full tank. fill it 2 d brim. frm der, oberve ur mileage. take note on how fast n how long to ride. just my point of view.
