Does anyone have difficulty in kicking up to neutral gear on a P180 UG3?

 

difficulty kicking into neutral typically is due to the engine oil.

JENGJENJENGJENGJENGJENG! ive sourced out my givi e20n boxes already and i got them dirt cheap for $30 a pair from an ulu motorcyucle shop at tampines, gonna start

hammer forging out some metal brackets for my side boxes! will keep updated with the rack position and LOOKS for the pulsar 200. will share this mini project soon:cheeky:

Very hard to kick to neutral. Front fork problem, not stablise while on straight road, checked but no leaking. pick up getting worst everyday.. does anyone know due to this problems? Thks.

Hard to get into neutral can be EO time to change or maybe clutch plates worn out no?

My pulsar had the issue of not able to get to neutral while standstill. But it's ok while in motion. This happens even with fresh oil. I changed the whole clutch plate assembly sourced from India for cheap cheap 40$. Kekekeke.. Imagine clutch plates, friction discs , clutch bell , 4 springs etc.Here will cost at least 200$. Anyways after changing the issue went away.

 

My phantom had the same issue, but fresh oil solved it. In my experience phantom is very sensitive/fussy about oil. You can feel a lot of Difference. Pulsar is much more easy going, mineral oil or FS can't feel difference

Oh, sorry @mjbs64, mileage about 333000 ++, always done my servicing at UMPL and did servicing few weeks ago. Anyway, I'm in the same situation as @revhappy! I had fresh engine oil, I used Motul 300v factory line double ester 15W50.

 

Fortunately, I believe @revhappy had just identified the problem for me and I guess it's time for me to change my clutch plates. In fact, sometimes while having a pillion and only having a pillion, my gear will auto drop. So revhappy bro, do you think you can still get that offer of $44 for all those things again? I might need it Lots of thanks!

Wow! Ur bike mileage is really high.. anyway.. Rev cheaper parts is directly import from India and it might take quite a while to ship back.. if have any friend going back to India can ask them help u ship back..

I believe a great alternative is the Protech filter is a very similar to the K&N and more affordable though, most of us here using it

Brake fluid last longlonglong:cheeky:, if getting low level means either somewhere is leaking , or the front brake pads is getting thinner:faint:

Protec filter is plug and play only for P180UG3,UG4 and P200. Only one person so far modified it by cutting one side using hacksaw blade to fit it to UG2, not easy as the rubber has wire mesh in it.
