That sounds like me, not liking to whack.

But i have another bike to go fast with. My pulsar is for work purposes now, and it doesnt make sense to whack the bike when i get paid so little, and my orders are so far and few in between.

On weekdays i get paid 80c for sending an order thats in the junction of tuas south ave 9 and tuas south ave 14.

Almost 20km just to go there, and another 20km to get back.

about a liter or so of petrol for that one order. for 80c. and esso RON92 costs $2.15

I think one upgrade that my bike would need is three point grounding. my damned signal lights keep blowing on me. -_-

FYI our bike needs no grounding at all. This bike grounding is good enough.I have asked many of those who have fixed up the grounding, reviews are no or not much differences. Its ugly looking spoil the bikes outlook.Dont waste time, effort and $$$.This is my 0.01cent of advice.

was that me? haha

coz after mercenary fix the power abuser, i whack, can feel ah the difference in pick up. usually that's how i "test stuff". but scared whack so hard later wheelie, i donno how to control liao. haha.

but then ryt, on the topic of fuel, I do feel difference in Caltex Platinum but not so much in VPower. then again, as someone mentioned, it's all about FEEL, no scientific evidence or watsoever to back this FEEL-ing.

Yup i think so:cool:

from my own understanding, grounding works/feel the different, for higher CC engine.... like cars and class 2B bike and above

yesterday in the morning.. I saw one indian rider in trouble with his red pulsar.. i think his friend or another pulsar rider who is also an indian .. help him out on his pulsar.. but the helper's pulsar was a blue one.. the red pulsar was pulled out to the pedestrian pathway.. the helper was checking through the chains or maybe the sprockets.. cause i saw the helper looked below the pulsar while increasing throttle.. it was so fast cause I'm in a car .. was at serangoon avenue 2 ..

is it some of the riders here encounter problems last morning .. at serangoon.. ?

This morning before starting my bike, i had a look at engine oil level which i do every few days. To my surprise, the oil level is empty!!! :giddy: Cant see any oil through the inspection window... Normally its between the upper and lower level, I just changed oil last week, recently never notice any oil leak before riding off... I parked on main stand overnight, so it cant be that the oil does not flow back to the reservoir right? For safety, i didn't ride to office this morning. I dunno now i should go buy and put in oil myself or tow to UM... For your kind advise... Thanks in advance!

Do you have a box on your bike? When you park on the mainstand which wheel is touching the floor? Front or Rear?

If your rear wheel is touching the floor when on mainstand, just start your bike, let it idle and warm up. When warm up, switch off your engine, while on mainstand pull the handle so that the front wheel touches the ground. Check your oil level at the same time. You should see oil now. :cheeky:

Grounding is more important for old vehicles regardless of engine CC. What grounding does is to provide a return path to the battery negative.

It is more important in older vehicles because of corroded ground points.

Most of us will not feel much difference if grounding problem is not there in the first place.

Actually a electrical path does not only consist of the gound path. If the bike is very old or has corroded wiring harness, the best solution is still to replace the whole wiring harness.

Cheers.

Bro, if your signal lights keep blowing on you, better check your wirings, also check that your battery terminals are screwed tight. Blowing bulb is cause by either bulb quality issues or excessive current in the circuit.

Also check your alternator and rectifier for problems. Faults in them can cause voltage levels to go very high.

If your electrical system (from alternator all the way to battery) is ok, then might be the bulb problem.

Cheers.

When buying bike, u cannot just look at the sale price. Must look at the whole package. Most importantly, after-sale service.
