Thailand Meetup Discusion.....

 

this sat BTMO, we can meet and talk about the thai trip. We might not stop at every rest stop... First stop is Machap. than skip one stop each. My main point is that, we must cover as much ground in shortest time. After reaching KL, than every rest stop we will stop. Traveling speed must be at pulsar 80% capacity. mean 90-100km/h.

 

in between jb n KL , machap---70km---pagoh---70km---ayer keroh---70km---seremban. skipping pagoh will be 140km. woah! it will take aprrox 1hr to reach ayer keroh.

....im up for it, but y d rush? anyhoo, dis coming btmo i not confirm comign cos need to prepare for my cousins wedding dis sun.

Hey guys,there are no head casket for the head cylinder for the engine.They are using silicone glue.This the second time the head is leaking with engine oil again.I did it at Universal motor.Anyone got a solution or experiences to share?Newbie reporting in.

Thailand trip for Pulsar Team

 

 

 

Date: 25th June 09 to 28th June 09

Place of Gathering : GP esso (25/06)

Time : 2130ETD (Estimate time of departure): 2200Hrs

Estimate Distance: 888Km

Traveling Speed : 110km/h

Number of Rest Stop : 12 stops

Expected traveling time : 12hrs (targeted)Expected Time of reaching THAI custom : 7-8AM 26th JUNE

Expected Time of checking into hotel : b4 12 noon

Expected time spend in Thailand Hatyai : Friday to Sun

Expected time of checking out thailand custom: SUNDAY after 2pm

Expected time of reaching Singapore : Monday Morning 2amTargeted time of traveling back to Singapore : 12hours

 

 

Important DOCUMENT to Bring

A copy of vehicle registration card is require to declare ownership of your bike before entering the kingdom of Thailand. The carbon copy of the vehicle import chit is to be well kept & must return before leaving Sadao, a penalty fee would be required if it's misplaced or failure to returned during your stay from your visit to Thai again before entry. A small endorse fee of rm1 or 20baht is payable for each passport. To avoid unneccessary delays at custom, prepared with all the above.

 

And Money

based on pulsar supreme F/C and on 1 x Full Tank (19L) = 450KM = (RM 35

Total Amount need for Petrol = RM 35 x 4 time = RM 140 (NO topping of petrol in thailand. Last topping up is in Malaysia)

 

Hotel Fees = Estimate SDG $60 per day. = 60 x 2 day = SDG $120(maybe cheaper)

 

Total amount NEEDED (must) = SDG 120 + 70 (RM 140) = SDG $190 x 20% spare = SDG 228.

 

 

Plus bring along some spare cash for enjoyment in thailand.... (BUy helmet and so)

 

Travel insurance

 

It will be best to have this extra insurance to cover ourself. I will check it out and update here.

 

 

BIKE Condition

 

Please ensure the bike is certifed by UM mech to ensure that the bike is in good condition to travel NOrth and back.

 

ITem to bring along (Can share among bikes)

 

2 x spark plug

1x tires repair kit

1x Light BuLb

1X Engine Oil

1x first Aid

 

IMPORTANT NOTE

 

Please ENSURE that you got enough rest before the trip.

Wow Nemesis i never expect you to be an organiser for such a trip.Kudos to you.Things to add,Raincoat,sunglasses or tinted visor,chain lube,throttle and clutch cables.Check tyre pressure too.Check your engine oil level when engine is cooled whenever possible or too much vibration.Bring tool kit.

but i heard um they got a new type of liquid gasket which have a higher temp.

This Sat meet at Kallang KFC.... same.. time from 930pm to 1030pm. after 1030pm we will move out. to KTM for chat. [edited by totalpet]

 

some information for the new pulsar members.

 

old birds have the trend to come late for BTMO so best time to reach is abt 9.55~10.15pm. but don come later than 10.30pm la..

 

for the new member who reach there try to find other pulsar bikes and park together.. we will be mostly sitting at the smoking/eating area if avaiable. if not will be inside the aircon area..
