i went there myself twice few months ago. if u guys go along pontian there, do not speed, there are speed traps along the way.

i'm pes c, so that would be about 400 only =(. urmm nemesis, i think you forgot to include insurance also. Hrmm... 400-300..whoah its a tight 2 year period, but can lah...suffer for 2 years can enjoy bike for 10 yrs.. thats a good enough bargain for me.

 

The downpayment for a Pulsar includes insurance. But when David at UM quoted me, it was 1.2k, maybe because I bought the 200cc model. So what Nemesis quoted you will be about there.

Just a question. I have a complete set of stock tires for p200 that i want to give away... Anybody interested? Tire only went 2km. I feel sad to see it being thrown away..

 

btw... any solutions with pulsar pipe. I weld my pipe twices liau... Second time i told the welder to put more metal and also bind the metal in the middle.

 

I feel that its only a matter of time before i have to weld again. i was thinking of changing the pipe and disc brake for rear tire... Is this posible?

 

Btw I met safety rider yesterday, his engine oil leak and he has to replace his chair.. Mech says too much chain wax, the chain harden and rust from the inside. make me wonder abt chains. I wasted alot of petrol washing my chain.

if you ever find any aftermarket exhaust pipes that can be fitted on pulsar, let me know. maybe we can get discount if buy together

 

as for the rear disc brake, i was also very tempted to get it, but bro lindavw advised against it. maybe he is a better person to provide the reasons.

 

also, better to use diesel to wash chain. much cheaper and less flammable. diesel also excellent to get rid of grease stains on your swingarm or non-paint surfaces. kerosene also works but damn stink i find.

i'm not very familiar wif chain lube or wad.. but i usually just ask the mechs at UM when i do my servicing to oil it and stuff.. is tt enuff? when i first got my bike, the mech introduced me to some blue colour oil/lube tt slowly wears off telling u tt its time to lube/oil ur chain again.. is tt useful? i'm not very familiar wif tt part..

in any case.. juz another qns.. wad's your average FC like? mine's ard 40km/l.. juz ytd i ran out of petrol juz a short distance away from the petrol station.. had to push my bike down the road.. damn tiring.. ha.. when u turn to reserve fuel, the lever is supposed to be up or down? some tell me up some tell me down.. i cant make it out myself.. ytd wen i ran out of fuel i turned it down den up but both way din seemed to do any good.. could it be my reserve fuel lever is spoilt? it shld make a diff if i turn my lever.. unless i was in the wrong position all the time.. my lever is usually upwards.. hmmm..

it should be pointing down normally, means normal tank. point up means reserve tank.

 

if your lever was pointing up when your fuel ran out.. twisting the knob up and down also no use.. reserve tank empty.

ahh.. goodness.. so the point is.. my fuel lever was pointing upwards.. goodness.. ha.. i rem askin jason from UM the other time he told me upwards is normal tank.. downwards den reserve.. i tk pic nxt time show.. juz to confirm physically.. ha.. so to confirm this literally.. upwards is using reserve and downwards is using normal tank rite? what a mistake..

if u go by pontian road, they cannot speed cos got speed trap. eastern n western coastal roads have spd traps. unless they duno of cos. there are 2 ways to get there. through ns highway, which is nearer if u stay around west side. or from jb if u stay north. but both routes travels through pontian according to my knowledge.

Its OK, our pulsar can hit 100km/h what. Normally trip with newbie the travelling speed will be lower (2b bike normally trip 80-110km/h, this trip 60-100km/h).
