you also say liao. front tire more lasting than the rear ma. on my previous bike, i changed my rear tire, front thread still got good. now my second bike, rear tire also balding soon but front tire still going good.

guys, am looking to change my rear tyre on my p200 :)

any recommendations and estimated pricing? so i dun kena chop when i go ask at the shop ^_^

So far, seems like only bridgestone and dunlop carries the right size for our rear tyre, BT39 and TT900GP respectively. Both are above $130.

Any cheaper options? i dun need excellent grip, just better than the stock will do ^_^

still got IRC, shinko.

anyway can try msia.. price should be cheaper.

IRC Road Winner RX-01 ... looks promising and price lower than BT39 ... not sure of gaban using which model fron IRC and I think Nemesis too using IRC Road Winner for his P180 previously

thankx bro..so if the last one bar..estimate can go how far?..that time when i first took my bike from UM..david told me inside got 2.5L..and the fuel indicator showed one bar..

i think it varies from bike to bike. for mine, it will never reach one bar :) minimum is 2 bar and will hit reserve after maybe about 80km. better have a feel of your own bikes limit and not use mine as a gauge. Just set aside a small petrol-safe container of petrol and run your bike until dry. take note of the mileage and you can use the mileage as a more accurate gauge to know when you bike gonna be out of fuel.

so far my stock front tyre no problem at all. good friction and doesn't skid on wet surfaces. but my rear has a puncture-repair and it fishtails in my carpark when floor is wet.

still got IRC, shinko.

anyway can try msia.. price should be cheaper.

I went to ah-heng shop leh.. and the SH shop at AGL.. both dun have 120/80-17.. for p180 have. p200 dun have.

sorry I can't recall the price .. but it's cheaper than Battlax for sure.

Another option for you is ... since you have got used to stock tyres, why not get 'free' from HVC as he need to change his stock tyre too ... at UM no trade in for sure .. rather they took it for FOC, it beneficial for our pulsarian brothers here ... just my 2 cents lah :thumb:  :cheeky:

Just curious ley ...

changing different set of tyre for front and back , does it not affect your performance and mlieage? ... just to have a second view ...

my theory ... it does affect as it's not have the same specs and the syncronization does not blend well ... different models have different specs on its own and 'behave' in differently ..

just my thoughts :cheeky:

example here .. IRC specs

http://www.irc-tire.com/mce/others/img02/sizeguide.gif

(1) is the width of a tire shown in millimeter(mm).

(2) is an aspect ratio, and in this example means that the height of the tire is 70% of its width.

(3) is the diameter of the wheel shown in inches.

(4) is a load index, not the actual load weight. The higher the index, the heavier the load allowable.

(5) is the maximum speed rating represented by letters: "S" up to 112mph, "H" up to 130mph, and "V" up to 150mph(air pressure at maximum within specifications.)

(6) is the width of the tire in inches.

(7) is the casing strength (ply rating).

ya i believe changing tyres surely will affect mileage.

tyres which are fatter or with better grip or not properly inflated will reduce FC.

thanks for suggesting i take over HVC's old tyre, but i'm looking more at improving rear tyre grip in wet condition. so wanna try out different brand :)

$65 for "Eagle Grip" IRC tires

Personally i tested eagle grip and roadwinner, I still like road winner cause of it superior grip on wet road. But sadly, i unable to test how long it will last, due to a ***** nail.

cant remmmber the model. mine using both irc. rear costs $65, n front costs $55. add up together is $120. WOWW!!! so far been riding for 3 months no negative comments abt it. grips n cornering is not bad olso. however, if u r a cornering freak, get a battlax.

It's normal for the rear tyre to wear off earliear than the front due to rear tyre carries more load ...

silmilar when driving a car ... you need to switch the front tyres with the rear tyres alternately before all 4 tyres need to change together and when all 4 time to change .. then prepare to have your wallet 'koyak'... but after changing to all new tyres ... you will forgotten about the damage but smiling all the way with a smooth drive ....:cheeky:

truely... that's why I don't feel the much pain with our bike maintenance damage as I know how much pain it does when driving a car ...

maybe another way to look at it is that although the front tyres take a brute beating when we brake as we use the front brakes more, we use the rear tyre all the time when we accelerate and engine brake, as the force is fed via chain to the rear.

well either that or we all do wheelies all the time so rear wear out faster :thumb: :cheeky:

can :faint::faint: .... hehe ... :cheeky:

but honestly speaking for some drivers or riders who goes with "Feel for Comfort" ... they don't think so much of the fees. As long as the vehicles are in top condition and gave them a smooth ride/drive, they are most happy with it ...

Hey brothers..tonight Teh Tarik session still on but don't know which teh Tarik..I'm ok with any two..so how? Timing around 10 ok rite?

Posted
i think each bike different ba

my 1st bar dop varies

sometimes after 50-80km

sometimes after 100+

but the rest of the fuel bar drop quite gradual

not like what some of you experience sudden drop alot to half tank

only recently my fuel indicator like abit eccentric

still monitoring

migth ask the mech to check during my next servicing

QUOTE]

true ....in sense of the varies as it depends on how much we poured into the full tank ... some riders tends to fill up until reaching the 'brink' and stop and some wil be more kiasu by giving a 'CPR compression' on the bike until eventually satisfied with the bike 'recovery' and stop... no offence here :cheeky:

as for me I just fill up once it hit 600km or so and poured in every 15 liter and stop.... hehe

only the recent top up my milage quite bad

bro .. its very difficult to get our pulsarians here to confirm .. but like i said if you need to post up any meet ups, you can do so and stick with your plan .. whether anyone come in or nor don't get upset or what ... just stay on... eventually there will be riders that can get along well...

do remember be patience ..

maybe I'll be there around that time ... JW st 41 as parking are much easiear.

you as promoter need to be earliear .. park your bike as where other pulsarian can see... if no one come don't be upset remember this ... try again and make it clearer and benificial to others too to tag along ..

Last not least try not to fail to turn up during our Pulsarian Official Meet up that is the BTMO sessions ...

and talking abt it ..... yeah man it's so quite these days ... ghahahahha
