hello bros,

After doing some research, I intend to change my tyres to BT39. Currently how much UMPL charge for these tyres nowadays? Do you guys recommend to change sprockets for the BT39? And the hel brakeline, issit for the rear? How much does this cost? The Belly pan cost how much? And lastly the chain guard? I like to know UMPL can change the chain guard. Now fully covered and it's quite troublesome to remove the chain guard and lubricate it. Heard from my friend, once the chain snap, the tyres will be locked thus skidding/accident might happen

Intend to visit UMPL next monday.

Thanks bros for reading this.

Please advice to a newbie like me.

The Belly pan cost how much? buy from ah boy and install in JB. total damage should be around S$50

And lastly the chain guard? I like to know UMPL can change the chain guard. Now fully covered and it's quite troublesome to remove the chain guard and lubricate it. Heard from my friend, once the chain snap, the tyres will be locked thus skidding/accident might happen. there's a rubber cap that you can remove and can lubricate your chain from there. no need to remove the chain guard just to lub the chain. anyway as long as you check your bike regularly and change the necessaries, chances of the chain breaking is very low.

Intend to visit UMPL next monday.

wah... how did it breaks?

one cheaper alternative you can consider is to weld it back. of cos need to consider how badly it breaks into.

I guess is not the main stand break but the side pedal where u step on inorder to put the bike on the mainstand, rite ?

In that case, u can wield the thing back... provided u need to add a bracket to secure it .

I done that b4... cost me 15RM repair that stand...

btw, i told the guy i wanna change the tyre to tubeless. he charge me additional $170. can i choose the type of tyre? which tyre you think is the best? I know nuts about which one is good. Perhaps dunlop eh.

If UMPL charges u $170 for tubeless tyres, that means u're getting Bridgestone Battlax BT39 so no need to think which good tyres to get already. Downside is it's not as lasting as the MRF stock tyres and ur FC will increase.

As stated above, $170. $150 is LAB's price but waiting time can be bloody long. Cheaper still, Dunlop TT900 in JB. Thread pattern exactly like Battlax's. Change sprocket(s) if u wanna increase ur cruising/top speed, but at expense of pick-up speed.

And the hel brakeline, issit for the rear? How much does this cost?
U gonna ride ur Pulsar like a hell rider? If not, then no need Hel lah. Yes it'll improve ur braking. But if ur technique is wrong, Pulsar is a transport bike, so ride it like one.

The Belly pan cost how much?
RXZ belly pan - $12 from LAB. Unlikely to find a shop in Sg that's willing to install cos not worth it for them. RM37 - RM52 in JB incl installation. Different price, different quality of workmanship.

And lastly the chain guard? I like to know UMPL can change the chain guard. Now fully covered and it's quite troublesome to remove the chain guard and lubricate it.
There's no stock open-type chainguard for P180. U can use Yamaha Spark chainguard ($8 from LAB). Actually no need to remove the stock chainguard to lubricate the chain. Just remove the round rubber cap at the side of the bottom half of the chainguard.

Heard from my friend, once the chain snap, the tyres will be locked thus skidding/accident might happen?

No lah. If chain snaps, u'll be freewheeling liao.

dun worry... i already inform michael, once they got any bike they will contact me.

if not, why not u go down with ur uncle to have a look at the bikes.... let christ, daivd or michael to explain to ur uncle about the installment and paper work issue... than u take q number. Once any bike is available, i help u to check the bike ?

i really appreciate your help .. nemesis.

but the looks of it... i can see that im nowhere even near the bike itself.

furthermore the uncle that i told you about.. isnt my close one..

like i told Suvespa.. he's like one of those far uncles that my family have..

and im not that close to him also.. I don't want to waste his time cos he's a family man.. has he's own family blablabla.. etc.. and just need to take care of some things which isnt his problem also..

like a malay saying.. " cakap aje.. tapi tak buat..." which means.. say anything .. but no work is done..

my family isnt that big also..

and none of my family is a rider... except for .. which i wont go into that..

i dont think that my so call " far uncle " will come down and have a look..

damn it la...

nvm ar.. i wait for ... next year.. or maybe the following year.. or perhaps.. not even any of those days..

like malcolm says .. "what for need to rush.. no need to be kanchiong ar.." which is so true also..

i really appreciate... suvespa and nemesis.. who call me up personally regarding this matter..

so i wait.

yah yah agree..

first time get bike, happy like hell, almost 500km,still almost full..

skali pass 600,drop like nobody business

its due to the shape of the tank ah, its not consistent throughout..

Posted

Its the gage not the tank...The sensors not linear

Even for cars..the needle will drop only if certain mileage is reached albeit constant droppage unlike our pulsar.....

hi, I'm new to Sg Bike, but have been riding Pulsar for 2 years. Is there any way to fix the suspension? Tired of feeling every bumps n dips on the road. Advice?

change the suspension? i think totalpet or his ex bike owner changed it and it was said to feel much better...

I clocked my pulsar200 going 660km at full tank minus the reserve which can go at least 60-80km more.
