ha.. bro.. riding and driving is reali big difference.. and riding in lesson and riding wif a P-plate is lagi bigger difference.. i dunoe how to tell u these feeling and also dun wan to sound like old man.. ha.. :cheeky: first time drive out on car and first time ride out on bike.. :faint: EXPERIENCE!!

Haha, I am going for Class 4 also. Den Class 5.

agreed

i got my 2B 4 years after i got my class 3

when i 1st got on the bike during my 1st prac

i could not balance and was so scared even when i was travelling in the circuit, scared i will lose control of the bike

when i 1st time on the road after my licence i also abit scared and keep being pressured by cars behind me

Ha, when I drive on the road, I am quite a fast and aggressive driver. (which is not a good thing) My bikers friends told me that the key to good and safe riding is not to let your emotions control you.

Cars horn, cut into your lane abruptly or what, nvm, forgive and forget. Cos we will be at the losing end no matter what.

So now when I drive, I try to change my driving style. like that when I ride the bike, I will also sub-consciously ride in a more relaxed manner.

I couldn't agree more, yesterday I'm at a stop line in a small junction between two lanes. A lorry is coming from my right, slows down like he's gonna turn left before crossing in front of me, but there's no signal lights so I decide to wait to see what he does. And of course, he crosses. Right before he does, the car behind me starts horning at me - the driver thought the lorry would turn so why am I not proceeding.

When he saw the lorry going straight, he looked away trying to avoid making eye contact with me who turned around and was about to pick a fight. I seriously considered getting out of the bike and start something. I am not a patient person, I try to be, but this kind of behavior just drives me mad: would it kill the driver to WAIT TWO SECONDS ?! he's adding to his stress, and stressing me too, no one likes to be horned at (and he scared me with the sound ).

I've been only riding for a week but I've already seen more than my share: people cutting in front of me, drivers who do the opposite of what their signals say, oh and of course, Little India is the pedestrians Sarajevo: they can walk against traffic in the middle of the road, looking at you riding towards them, and expecting you to stop or let them pass ! :gun::gun::gun::gun:

But despite that, it's a very good learning experience for me, I can't wait to go to the HOV sessions, and improve my riding (and maybe become a bit more patient and tolerant myself :cheeky::cheeky:)

this morning when riding to camp and was filtering into bke, this car purposely speed up and block my way(i signalled very early) when it saw me trying to change lane

forced me to almost exit at dairy farm exit

y can't sg ppl just give way

after getting my 2B

i am now driving more cautiously as compared to the past

now i know where to look out for when i am driving cause of riding a bike

and when i ride i will also be more alert to look out for drivers who are inconsiderate and also to predict their movement

it helps both ways

and riding is totally different from driving on the road

you have to be more aware of your surroundings as compared to driving to predict and make impt decisions that will save your life

some sg drivers don't give a hoot to us bikers

be like what my signature says

bro.. the alarm has remote start n stuff.. did u install tt function as well? or only just installed for security part of it?

yes, the alarm unit have engine start sort of things but our bike unable to start using that function maybe becos the timing differs from our bike.

 currently I still having headaches trying to understand all the functions it has .. try reading the 6 pages manual book still blur blur like sotong .. pages contains on how the Function works ..

1 to 1.23 guidelines setting codes you need to know how to use the alarm... from the LED light which have 3 colors, the nos of flashes, nos of vibrates, beep, sound and music .. every nos have different codes. :faint::faint::faint:

The GOOD: so far not yet confirm

1. quite a no of fuctions to operate and play

2. super loud

3. long distance range

4. come with 2 controllers

The BAD: (so far not yet confirm)

1: no complain so far except not very sure of the fully functions code .. get confuse with the nos of presses etc.

if anyone bought this ALARM unit, please help me with the functions OK .. hehehe

VERDICT: I think BEST BUY .. it's worth for SECURITY purpose.

Normal price is $140 and with installation is $165 if I'm not wrong. Now promotion $130 with free installation. :thumb:

SG drivers really one of a kind one man

2 days back while traveling straight a lorry was making a U turn then the driver very in-decisive, want to come out don't want to come out

then when i pass by the suddenly just start to drive out

i had to swerve to my left to avoid him.

ytd also, this time car driver impatient while i half way u-turning the driver behind me just step on the accelerator and nearly hit me

how come SG drivers don't just wait 1-2 secs longer

will die meh if wait abit longer...

this morning when riding to camp and was filtering into bke, this car purposely speed up and block my way(i signalled very early) when it saw me trying to change lane

forced me to almost exit at dairy farm exit

y can't sg ppl just give way

Hehe... the general consensus is to treat everyone else like an idiot.

Applies to motorcycles and cars.

But seriously, for a more murderous time, check out the morning 7am traffic... It's much worse >_

Ehhh April BTMO I can't attend, going for wedding dinner! Have fun guys.

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

if it ain't spoilt don't change it

you are doing fine

just rmb to go for regular servicing can liao

and do take note of any thing irregular on your bike(e.g oil dripping etc) so that you can nip any problem(if there is) at the bud

Welcome to SBT ... :thumb:

here sre just for reference ... similar in your manual book

2nd and following servicing: around 2500km. 5000km, 7500km .. after that every 2500km

carburator: adjust/clean every 2500, 5000, 7500 (wash and clean every

10000km or depends if you feel different with your bike performance.)

EO: if you are using 20W50 EO .. next EO change around 5000km but if you are afraid and have money then around 3000km can change and check the colour and texture of your EO.. if it's still consider clean then next time every 5000km then change lah... and check EO level too .. top up when it's low (the icons on top right display will flash)

side note:

1: it will ocassionally appear when you ride in the rain .. no worries though... it's the down side of p200... just check your EO level.

2: P200 is 1.15L max ... 1.2L if you top up at UM cos they round up the price .. never top up more than 1.2L or you will have engine leakage like most pulsar out there ...

Plugs: check and clean often.. plugs change every 10000km but if every 5000km change if you have money .. do remember new and good sp can save 5% FC

Battery: check and top up water level if it's low ... Dry battery no need but advisable install volt meter to check battery power .. change when it's around 50% power no need to wait for the icons on display to flash.

Air Filter: check and clean during every servicing... contact cookie monster to have a pro tec good air filter .. stock one is just a normal sponge type.

Tyre: if you are a good and skill rider than no problem, if possible change the stock tyres .. i've seen FBD and even FBE plate bike have obvious 'tatoos' at the side tank and head cowling too..

Crash Bar: if possible install .. my bike drop 4X already (3x at ms cp and 1 outside) .. thanks to the crash bar and my side boxes too no scratches on my bike .. hehehe

hope this info helps ... it;s just some of many .. when times comes it's normal lah to have tear and wear ..:cheeky:

i dont know if the manual states so(my manual is out of my hands reached..hehehe) but from reading SBF...bikers advise that u do regularly tighten & lubricate your chain every 500km to maintain the lifespan of your sprocket and chain..i never lubricate my chain till now..im coming to 2150km already..lol...bad habit for pro-longing/procrastinating..the outcome can be either chain snap while riding or wear & tear occurs way earlier and have to buy a new set of chain n sprocket..$$$$$....hope this helps...

btw bro santa,..when u got ur bike? 1st hand ey? coz ur mileage and mine almost the same..hehe
