hi guys sorry for the totally nooooob and off-topic question here, but i just wanna ask : what's the p200's topspeed? and is it comfortable cruising at say 90-100kmh?

most of us are riding pulsar 180.... i think warhorse is the only p200 rider that is active in this thread. but i believe he is still running in...

The other one's Halid. So hippo's qn is for u 2 guys.

oh i see..hmmm well p200 and p180 specs not much diff right? i checked with UM, the price diff like $1K ard there.

P180 - 16.5 bhp max power, lighter, lower seat ht, 1L engine oil, air-cooled, black exhaust, non-tubeless & less-wide stock tyres

P200 - 18 bhp max power, heavier, higher seat height, 1.5L engine oil, oil-cooled, chrome exhaust, tubeless & wider stock tyres

what abt the p180 then? the topspeed and cruising?

I really dun understand wat's with this obsession with the top speed? U're not gonna cruise at the top speed rite? Even if u want to, the traffic condition in SG doesn't allow u to.

Anyway, top speed for P180 is 127 km/h according to manual. Real life, more like 120 km/h. I cruise mainly at 80-85 km/h nia. Most guys here cruise at 90-100 km/h.

for me, my motto is "slow rider, live longer"...(just that haven get the sticker yet.) so always keep to the speed limit. most of the time at 80km/h. 90km/h at time.

P180 UG3 and P200 use the same digital speedo. P180 UG2 and older versions use analog speedo which is very accurate. The earlier batch of UG3s had a lot of problems with the digital console.

hello friend , just to be fair to the rest of them.

i think they are just asking for curiosity sake

why i know? , becoz i used to lookout for pulsar when i haven buy yet , i also ask many qn , 1 of them is top speed although i did not speed. So i think they should have the benefit of the doubt . that they are asking top speed just becoz they are curious , not becoz they wanna race or anything.

Sorry hungry hippo, haven't got chance to try the top speed and have to wait till 10 september to do it. As for the speed, there is few senario:-

Using the stock tyre (120/90rear 90/90front) and rear stock sprocket 38 teeth:

a) At 6rpm, I can reach 80kmh

b) a bit vibration as I increase speed from 75-80kmh (5-6rpm) and vibration reduce as the speed increases to 90kmh.

After I change the tyres to Battlax (110/80 rear 90/80 front) but still using the stock rear sprocket:-

a) The rpm increases to 6.2rpm to reach 80kmh

b) The vibration a bit more at (5-6rpm) 75-80kmh compare to the stock tyre and also the vibration reduces as the speed passes the 80kmh mark.

After I change the rear sprocket from 38 to 34 teeth:-

a) The pickup speed from gear 1 to gear 2 more smoother and better.

b) Can reach 80kmh at 5.2rpm and 90kmh at 6rpm. More comfortable cruising at 80-90kmh. Engine more relax..

That all I can say about P200 speed.

Droogs, i know its 6000rpm but I just lazy to type the zeros lah. I dont know leh, for me its seem like the same pick up. Its all depend on your clutch and throttle control...i think you should know better.

normal??? meaning?

isn't it normal for all bikes to have vibrations? having ride a scrambler before. all i can say is that my pulsar have much2 less vibrations and it's within my threshold. need to compromise what. bike so cheap and good already still want no vibrations. more irritatingly is the IU unit which wil scream madlessly once I passed the 90km/h mark.

Top speed is 130km/h. but not advise to do that in singapore. IN Singapore, if u travel at 130km/h, prepare to say bye bye to ur License. Do that in NS highway. at NSH, speed is 110km/h. so safe speeding is encourage there. :goodluck:

Confirm the sound come from IU or ur DiGITAL METER?

if IU, go to LTA... request to have it change. ALL IU is in warranty for the next 5 years ( from the date u out the new bike).

hello warhorse , just my 2 cents opinion

our lindavw is a chief mechanic....for a reason. A good one that is.

If somehow or rather u have doubt or u really believe that u are right about it , then just go ahead with your own decision. after all its your own bike . Bajaj might not be right in everything btw...my default sprocket is very heavy on pick up and 6.5krpm only go up to 80km/h

Bro..... diplomatic abit please..... thanks
