im interesting in purchasing a pulsar..

however, not too sure whether to get the 180 or 200.

any difference between the 2?

is the fuel consumption for the p200 as good as the p180?

has the tank grip improved for the p200?

any difference in handling?

hope some of these questions can be addressed for the benefit of those interested in getting a pulsar

Tank grip improved. posture slightly more aggressive. Looks ever more aggressive.

Bigger standard tires suggest better handling.

Oil cooled. It will take longer to overheat. Though i predict because of this, the engine will eat up EO faster than the 180.

Some reviews mentioned that the gearbox has been improved. The 180 suffers alot of gear slips.

However, I cannot be so sure about Indian Electronics. Its not certain whether the control box for the 200 would be better built than the 180. Theres no kickstart, so if your CDI fails, good luck push starting your bike. For the 180 at least there is a fall back for when the CDI fails. Hopefully the 200 will not suffer CDI failure.

As for the fc, using the stock parts, I clocked 660km/15litre.

But after changing rear tyre size from 120/90 to 110/80 battlax and rear sprocket from 38 to 33, my fc is 715km / 15litre. Average travelling speed is 80-90km/h. BTW I am using p200.

there is comprehensive insurance, that is the most expensive and covers everything, even stationary dropping your bike

then there is 2nd party, which is more accurately known as 3rd party + fire and theft. This covers the person you knock together with fire and theft incidents. best to get if you park at dodgy hdb places. but they only cover the current market value of your bike at that point in time, and not the price you paid for the bike. still lugi de..

then there is 3rd party, only covers the person you knock. probably those staying private apartments will get this as they enjoy security at their residential carparks.

hope this helps :goodluck:

Wavy, I think mastera7x got the answers regarding the insurance issue.

mastera7x, correct me if i am wrong.

mastera7x, nemesis is the one who informed us about the missing bike. Since he have not update us on the details, I dun think anyone can answer your question regarding where the bike was last seen.

I think you are a bit over sensitive here. I think the brudders here will answer questions posted here as long as they know the answer. If not everyone will be waiting for those who knows the answer to speak up.

We cannot expect instant answers when we post questions on forums. I think you also notice that sometimes this thread can be dead for more than 24hrs.

Just relax and enjoy what this forum offers(info, diy tips, meeting sessions, bickerings and many more).

Actually the most vibration presence felt when the rpm is going from 5k to 6k

and after passing the 6k mark, the vibration reduce. But after changing to smaller rear sprocket, the vibration reduces but not completely.

But you must update us everyday whether the bike found already or not. Wait later when we see the bike on the street and call police and turn out it was the owner riding.:p

thanks for the reply bro. interesting that vibrations reduce after 6k mark.

i'm not sure if you have tried a phantom, but i would like to know if the vibrations are more than a phantom. cos when i ride my brother's phantom, my legs will go numb from the vibrations.. probably give the girl pillion an orgasm too.. -_-"
