haha it's not hanging, just a weird light and shadow combination and the table has a glass top.

Alvin, yes from Ah Boy, at $17 - thanks for the confirmation, I'll use it next servicing! [it's the perfect oil for Shadow because it's... GOLD :lovestruck: hahaha.. !]

I have a couple of question, I was reading the manual and :

- how do you lubricate the gear starter clutch ? that's the foot gear lever ?

- when they say the drive chain need to be checked every 500km, what's that? (it's different from drive chain slack so not sure what this is really..) Is that just oiling the chain like we normally do ?

- on the spedometer, we have the distance measurement right, one number on the left is the biggest, and one on the right side says "Trip 1: 356km" for example. What are these for exactly, what do they show (I assume the one on the left is total distance to day?) ? How do I reset the "Trip 1" number if I want to know exactly for a new trip how long I ride - without changing the total distance count ?

haha

you got it cheaper by $1 as compared to MJ

maybe next time i go ad bagain even lower :cheeky::cheeky:

gear starter clutch i am guessing is the clutch cable

can just ask the UM mech to do it for you and if i am not wrong included in the $6 servicing also

for drive chain is our sprocket chain

the big number on your left is your ODO meter

the total distance travelled by your bike

you cannot reset it unless you change the whole speedo or reset through using comp

the trip 1 you are talking about is your trip meter

which is the distance of 1 single trip

there is a small black rubber button on the right of your speedo

you press it once it will go to trip 2

trip 1 & trip 2 is just for you to measure distance travelled

to reset go to the trip you want to reset e.g Trip 1

and press and hold the rubber button for about 5 sec

your trip meter will reset to 0

if you want to reset trip 2 go to trip 2 and just press and hold the black rubber button for 5 secs

Brandon got a kaki already ...

yesterday i dropped by at Um and saw someone here installed carbon cld pipe .... wonder why he did not post here yet? ... hehehehehe

some more he using S4 belly pan for a P180 ride ... niceeeeee ....

i think to those P180 using rxz belly pan... hehee time to upgrade yours ...

me 'racuuuuun' here again kekekekekeekkeekek

Aiyah that fella ah got hand guard lor LOL....as i expected.

Hahaha I think brandon saw it alr ytd.I saw his bike at RP carpark ytd.Wah the midrange power from the exhaust is amazing. Its not as hard to acclerate from 80 onwards when compared to stock. And as you said ytd uncle, there was smoke today when I started my bike today morning aft the rain.

Now must save up $700 and keep it one side incase kena stop by TP. But damn the pipe sounds like a typical modded kup chai. But those are even louder and more irritating. It all depends on your right hand.

I most probably will be joining for teh tarik today.See you guys later!

LOL $700 aside for TP, put ur silencer lah, is definately softer than mine i think i wanto get the same silencer as you already. Uncle mj where u do the silencer?

no problem

actually they only describe what the meter is for but never say how to reset etc

its on the first few pages with the location of the parts

something else to take note

if you remove/disconnect the +ve or -Ve points of your batt, your trip meter will reset to 0 but the ODO will not

Teh Tarik session just now attendance was ok with Manick, Eliminator, Gaban, Speed and fircyber sharing experiencesd together.

Eliminator > nice to hear your pipe doing well with your ride! Safe ride bro!

fircyber > hope you gain more experienced with your riding skills and learnt from mistakes from your 3 accidents in a month. Safe ride ok bro!

Speed > I hope you reached home safely ... I horned you a couple of times after you overtake me from the left not just becos of the overtaking thing but more to alert you on your side stand which you forgot to kick back up. Worried it might cause you to fall from your bike !! ... Do very careful in future and pls avoid that little stunts overtaking from left side in future !!! .. Ride safe bro!

Manick > wise if you go UM asap to do your throttle thingy and service your bike since you just came back from long trip. Oh do take note not to WD40 on hot parts as later your bike will have smoke all over and burning smell . Wish you safe ride for your cameron highland trip!!

Gaban > happens if you check my speedo and make comparison with yours ... how issit? ... think maybe my carburator diaphrgm or air filter got some issues as my 105km kind of heavy or hmmm maybe it due to the chain reaction process since I just poured in the xado Turbo in my engine oil ... will see for another few clicks. .. will let you know also when near 5 Nov if I can make it to join your mersing trip!!

Alvin & O'Ren > walao .. $17 a bottle!!! .. my next visit i will talk to him loud and clear to give the same price at $17!!!! hahahah ... oh O'ren how many bottle did you buy and fyi too, i join kaki with the knee padding thingy hehehehe .. safety first kekekekekee !!

Think carefully b4 getting those big toys. Lots of pple ride big bikes for a short while then change back to smaller bikes. When I ask them y, most of them answered its for the feel of it or for fun. Its not worth it, unless ur loaded wif cash. Just my 2.3 cents.

Btw .... just to share here only :cheeky:

Morning as usual ready to send my wife to work, n :nono: surprising to find a ticket cost $25 on my tank for parking without a valid season parking coupon (rule 18 (1) ) .. sigh!!! o_O

After sending my wife to her working place, went to HDB area office to enquire and found my season parking has expired since Sept .... sigh!!! :slapforehead:

Queue for 15mins and paid $51 for 3 months from Oct to Dec and make an appealed statement :faint:

... for info this is my second appealed so far for getting an unwelcome ticket .... now waiting for what next ... sigh!! :goodluck:

So guys / gal ... do update your season parking and avoid unnecessary time wasting to clear the mess.... heheheh

And to those who thinks that without displaying your season ticket is ok .. think twice as you are dammnn so lucky for now ...

as stated under rule 18(2) park without displaying a valid season parking coupon, you can be charged too.

As for me .. Haiyah ... truely lah I'm gettiing older and forgetful now .... :nono: :cheeky:

i got a booking too... ERP! damnit... the orchard road one very hard to see and know when it is on.. cos from far east i filter lane to left then must look out for traffic and cant really see anything... then when i cross 2 metre i put the card but too late...ERP at marriot btw.

if onli they shifted it further down a little

For the EO, I only bought 2 bottles as I wasn't sure it was the right one, so I can return them if needed.

Next time i'll try to get $15 price and buy 4 ! :D

Welcome to the knee guard clan ! Very happy to hear that, I hope you never have to use it, but if you do, then it's good to have ! I am now considering switching my knee guard for armored pants. Because I don't use the knee guard to go to work as it's a very short trip without highway. So basically I only use knee guard when long rides in SG or when going to MY. In those cases, I can wear whatever I want doesn't have to be work clothes so maybe I'll switch to armored pants if I find nice ones, so that my butt and sides are protected too :cheeky:

At first I thought armored pants would be too hot and not so nice but I've seen great Komine ones, and if one can wear jeans in this weather to ride I think armored mesh pants are even better. Even if not mesh they will protect me from the cold too - a lot of the MY trips happen at night when I find that it can be very cold..

If any of you uses armored pants, please share with me your experience and advices ! :thumb:
