I was just thinking how can we make the CLD pipe legal because there are other legal pipes which are waaayy louder than the pipe.I wonder how they make pipes legal and the process behind it.

4 main things need to send to LTA before final testing to approve

 

1: manufacturer certicates

2: pictures of pipe installed on different model bike

3: catalytic converter

4: dbkiller / silencer

Its been already 1 wk since I start riding my Pulsar..

Since its my 1st bike, I'm still not sure whether there's anything wrong with the bike..

 

Is it normal when hit 70km/h you can hear some sort of "hollow" sound from the engine?

Also the fuel gauge also sometime show empty & back to 6-7 bar...when my mileage is only ard 170km.

(Top full tank after collecting my bike)

During the next servicing I intend to :

 

Change EO to synthetic oil.

Change tyres >> currently using MRF stock tyres

Paste rim tape.

 

Any idea how much for all ..recommendation for tyres.

 

don't really get what you mean by the hollow sound

for EO if you change full syn at UM is $22 for a 1L bottle

can get cheaper at ah boy then bring down

for your tires the best is still battalex but like what eliminator says it will wear our fast for the rear

you can try duro tires cheaper but the quality is not bad

if you tight on budget you can change the rear tire 1st

the front leave as stock mrf for now still ok

carefull, dat holo sound might be ur bearings or ur 5th gear wear and tear. mines currently the same as urs. no joke.

Date: 5th Nov Friday.

Speed: 80-100km/h

Location: Mersing and any other places suggested by you folks.

Time: 7am onwards

Meetup at Woodlands Esso by 7am sharp.

Bikes: please take care of ur bike properly b4 the ride.

Gear: safety gear is recommended. No slippers, sandals allowed.

Optional Item: towels, lotion, etc. etc. ...

 

 

For places to go, im open for discussion. Below is just the plan of my route.

 

From Esso, we go in Jb. If we are separated during the customs period, just gather at Jb Shell after clearing customs. After that we will go change money and go eat breakfast .

 

After breakfast, we will ride 50-70km at 80-100km/h and then rest. We will repeat this step until we reach mersing. From there, on time on target. If we got time, we can venture further up to Pahang if everyone is up for it. If not. We slowly make it back to jb and stop by kota tinggi if anyone wants to Spend some time there. It should be around afternoon during that time. By then, we will be riding all the way to tanjung langsat , pasir gudang, for seafood. From there, we can either go straight home or go somewhere else.

stand by $1000 or more. If u r lucky, it’ll cost u less den 1k. depends on wat parts are damage.

 

Including $200-300 of labour.

Even for Yoshi pipe not all are legal especialy for small bike !!!

the closet solution is use xado and hope it covers the wear and tear of the parts. If not, then ride as per normal until it breaks down. Then overhaul. Or u can overhaul earlier. Gona cost u alot. either way, sooner or later, ur gona overhaul dat bike.

so the owner bought from the shop need to go down for inspection to have the pipe "registered" to the bike and get the cert?

The pipe is street legal but people can still mod the silencer, so u still need to go register the pipe legally on ur bike, tats y, so in short, u go inspection to legalize it on ur bike

I am planning to get the same thing for my ride to Cameron. Then come back and take out the box and just use the tank bag only - if I can find a good one. Thanks in advance for sharing.
