I am halfway through my practicals and am interested in the KRR. But my buddy has switched side to the Aprilia. His TP is coming soon. How do i convince him otherwise?
May I ask why you would wanna do that? o_O

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

Before we were even legal we had somewhat made a pact that if ever we were to ride together, it will be the KRR. Him & i had been friends since young. I had stayed true & felt somewhat betrayed. I know it is kiddy but anyway, this buddy of mine, he hardly knows much about bikes. He just goes for design & likes to be different. Hence, the uncommon & classy yet expensive Aprilia.

See the thing is, just like him, i don't know much about bikes either. It was him that cultivate riding in me. Other than the fact that Aprilia is super exorbitant, i just wish he could keep to his promise. Come 2A, i am sure he will change bike and it will be a great waste. I hope, in a nutshell, the kind people of SingaporeBikes.com can summarise with pointers to prove that KRR is superior than Aprilia, one way or another. It is hard to buy him over once he had made up his mind.

u must ask him what is he riding for.. if he riding for style & looks, it's obvious the aprilia wins. But if he's riding for practically, its better to go for e kr. Dropping a kr is less heart pain den dropping an aprilia.. u can guarantee that!

oh yeh, ask him bout his financial.. if he's only pay 2k for downpayment and paying up to $300 a month, oh god, pls dun ride an aprilia! The typical mistake most aspiring aprilian does is to down 2k and forget the rest. Wen the bike runs into problem, guy merely sell it off in a sorry state, another guy bought it over and the story of the aprilia being an unreliable bike continues..

juz get a ez to maintain bike for 2b and change to 2a. No matter what, a 3k cbr400 will easily outrun a 13k rs125..

The question about financial is never an issue with him. However, i have a gut feeling that he will go first hand with this one. He doesn't go for second hands. He told one of the guys that he will be getting first hand because he do not want to go through the hassle of sending it for servicings and repairs as he is not so fluent about bikes and not many of his friends owns any Aprilias. As to why he wants the RS125, i think it fits his personality and he just wants to be the best.

well. if ur fren wants to be the best and he likes the bike. let him be. because the most important thing when buying and owning a bike is u urself the owner must like the bike. if u dun like the bike u wun even wanna ride it.

plus. if u wud ask me to choose. ill definitely supper the RS125 if money is not a problem. its a damn nice bike. fat tyres give u more stability. and its a electric start. head turner of coz.

I couldn't agree more with you. He will have my support inevidently. But before he buys that bike, i think as his best friend i am at the liberty to make him realise that buying a KRR is more worthwhile, if it is indeed true. He is an impulse buyer and i wouldn't want him to hurt his pocket and than suffer with maintenance, parts & so on. The possibility of him regretting is high.

let him learn the hard way ah liddat..sumtimes if soft approach dun work, let it be..u already doing ur best to persuade him..if he cant be disuaded, then be it..its a good thing tat ur supporting ur best friend in the end..Upz for tat..

since u say for him money seems to be no problem, then let him know..who knows, 125 myt just fit him..1st hands are not known to cause much trouble, unless the rider dun sayang the bike n whack anyhow then of course can start to cause troubles..tell him to really research first ah b4 buying..safe him alot of trouble..bike is not just buy then use anyhow..its abt maintaining..if he wanna buy the bike n u support, tell him to find out how to maintain his bike..if his bike suddenly stall how?? he panic..so just find out more info first..at least u know something..

Hey Fireshamie, your last post is very helpful, man. Thanks. If you must know, i haven't even started persuading him yet. I am just starting to build up a case to prepare myself. This is his first bike. I hope he knows what he is getting himself into. Do you think it is advisable for first timers to start on the Aprilia RS125?

Doesn't mean buyin new bike = no need to send for servicin..Regular servicin is a must..I've a feelin your friend won't be able to withstand the runnin-in period and will just whack the bike when he got it..Don't ask how..Its just a gut feelin..o_O

no problem for me having an Aprilia as my first bike. But i must say the maintaining it is really high. Drinks petrol and must service very regularly. And a little dangerous to bring it to JB when wanna pump petrol too. haha.

I brought you my bullets; you brought me your love.
