Dark_Angel : Yes, my brakes and tyres are new now so can ride safe. Only need to change speedo as my odometer doesnt work at all.

Coyote66 : Managed to touch 110kph today, and yes, it's still comfortable. Guess anything faster than 130 will require a windscreen but then we're just cruising and enjoying the scenery :)

How much does a paint job cost? Something along the lines of 'One Headlight''s baby?

I think I read it somewhere that two tone paintwork should not cos more than $600

Mine is 15 yrs. old and I just noticed that the clutch is slipping already. When I twist the throttle, to get more speed, it makes a whining sound and it won't go any faster. If it's still the original clutch plates then It's due for a change. Last November, I repaired the water pump. Age is catching up on our bikes but they're still the best both in looks and performance.

Treat it well and it will serve you well

Urs is a head turner

Time to change the clutch plate

For paint job price, goes does to how many colour, wat quality, any special design. Call up bike shop for quote as more accurate.

Is there any good bike shop to recommend? I know some bike shop don't do paint job one.

aspirin85 : I read somewhere in this forum that Yeow Mtr is good. Blk 14 Defu Lane 10 #01-400 Fone 81006969.

I am not ready for painting yet so if you should go there (or any places you go to), please share the service and price levels?

Appreciate it. Thank you.

I'm beginning to enjoy the cruiser experience. Steady pick-up, sound of the motor, the wind blasting agst me, legs slightly splayed..priceless!

Anyone got the kuryakyn iso premium grip with throttle boss? What are the reviews? I was wondering If the throttle boss may interfere with normal maneuvering of the bike. Eg. When turning the handle bar it will be quite irritating if I throttle by mistake.

I got one on my ACE. No problems with turning. Very comfortable. There's enough space to set your palm comfortably on the throttle boss without worrying that you might lose control. It's slightly thicker than stock grips but you'll going to love it. Much much less vibration and even less if you attach the heavy bar ends. Even my maxi scooter has kuryakin grips.

Unfortunately, I don't live in SG. I'm from the Philippines.

Ordered mine online at http://www.cruisercustomizing.com but you can get a replica version (made in china) online from Hong Kong but the quality is not so good.

Hi everyone,

I got my bike back from Rosli about 1 week ago,

was busy recently so did not log on to forums,

He change my rectifier, air filter, rejetted the carb..

Bike definitely felt better,

I am also getting better fuel economy, about 20km per litre.

I still experience some "jerk" when doing slightly harder acceleration,

Rosli explained that its due to my hollowed exhaust.

He checked the plugs earlier and they are brown, seems fine.

Jubie, did you manage to fix ur odometer problem? Mine can't see at all.

Shadow bros, without an odo, I wont know my service schedule. Of cos I can just send it in 3-mthly intervals or whatever regular period I plan.

But with odo much better. Would I have to buy new speedo (mine still works) instead? If so, where would be a good place to buy with installation?

Hi bro,

Rosli could change the odometer film inside the speedo so no need to change the whole speedo.

Can contact him if you wish to repair it. You have to order in advance though

I just ordered mine earlier :)

I never had that problem and I had boss throttles on both sides too!

I've had the Kury ISO grips on all my previous bikes, and by far they are my favourites.

I use the Countoured Throttle Boss which is even bigger and no issues whatsoever with it.

Hows the sound of the hollowed exhaust ?

Of course I trust my skills. I ride alone cos I don't trust the competency of the driver next to me.

Mike stock was rough sounding too! Rosli was asking me what pipe I had on. Haha

Definitely not as loud as yours. Lol

Me too , my bike from 1st to 3rd gear will have the same problem as yours when try throttle goes more than half.

Rosli check through my electric cable and do some wire adjustment and change the rectifier($120), acceleration test/adjustment,change spark plug(all), smoke test and some sort of Coolant DNA test !!

Overall it cost me $260 , abit pricey but i felt is worth it.

now have no problem on my pick up speed and hopefully able to last few years...:cheeky:

Hi,

Nice to hear that your problem is solved,

You had the original pipe?? As in the stock pipe is not tempered with?

I am trying to find the stock pipe too, anyone can advice where to get 1?

Hopefully not too expensive :)

Thanks
