Due to improve technology

Even the nc700 parallel twin can achieve close to 40km/l

maybe u need to read the fine print, i believe likely achievable if u cruise at ard 50-60 km/h on a control environment.

Frankly I am rather optimistic

An old 1997 shadow, carbretor, chain drive, can do a FC of 22-25km/l

A new shadow with efi, shaft drive and probably some improvement in the v tiwn

Definitely will achieve better improvement

Even if cannot meet the stated 40 km/ l

Any between 30-35km/l

Is impressive

i think maybe max 30km/l if used on normal road condition with not much stopping and cruising all the way. Cannot believe what is written on brochure mah, some car stated can go ard 20 plus km/l on paper but on road, different story, say because of this and that so cannot give that kind of milage.

I don't know about the 40km/l FC, but in theory, Efi is more fuel efficient that carburettors. Maybe cruising on the highway at 80 kph can get 40 km/l FC?

it is a ACE he said he paid about 16K OTR

he said aero cost slightly more 17K

Always wanted a shadow.. finally got it!

An update!

been getting 21km/L on caltex 95. Previous owner got 19km/L.

Things done, new airfilter, 5w40 oil, coolant change, broquet 2t and chain cleaning.

The chain elongated man.

 

I got side panniers and a tall sissy bar though.

Hope to get about 24-25 like my vlx 400

 

Future kinda major mods, mini apes, crashbar, 38 rear tooth sprocket, new chains.

and other mini cosmetic mods.

On the freight liaoo...

No lar the 400VLX is getting 26-27 km/l. LOL

 

Aiya I still have the tall sissy bar you passed to me. I'm not using it.

My crashbar offer is still valid. Bring it to FM, ask them cut off the brackets for Steed and weld on brackets for your ACE. Much cheaper than buying brand new.
