Just went to change my clutch cable. it was in bad shape....hahahah. think it was one of those items that are likrly to be missed.

Me too. It was slipping when I changed gears. I started to adjust it then I found out that it was holding on by just a single strand! Good thing it didn't break when I was on the road.

that item needs to be lubed :)

.... every 5,000 kilometers. Also don't use WD40 to lube. WD40 is a degreaser. In 3 months, the cable will snap

Hi all,

I want to add a crash bar to shadow 400, and I dont mind a second handed one.

Do you have recommendations?

Thank you in advance.

Cobra would be the obvious choice.

But if you want to be different, try the Linby Bar.

Dark_Angel : Yes, my brakes and tyres are new now so can ride safe. Only need to change speedo as my odometer doesnt work at all.

Coyote66 : Managed to touch 110kph today, and yes, it's still comfortable. Guess anything faster than 130 will require a windscreen but then we're just cruising and enjoying the scenery :)

How much does a paint job cost? Something along the lines of 'One Headlight''s baby?

So ready for trip up north ....anyone planning Thailand trip?

Me interested if there is one

For the crash bar, I searched several motor shops at Bukit merah and Toh Guan. None of them has crash bar for Shadow 400.

I just called sengkwang, who quoted me 380.

I also contacted another shop recommended by other forumers, Ah Ann. He quoted me 400.

I placed order from overseas, and I believe the cost will be within 100 sgd.

Will update the effect after I got it installed.
