At last, seat rail for my stock solo seat.

Always wanted to have one but could'nt find an original.

So I had my fabricator make me one from pictures on the web.

I took over a used Shadow 400 recently & I found that the previous owner had disconnected the pilot lights (i.e. the turn signals are on by default).

I hooked it back & found that the turn signal housing became really, really hot. That seems kindof unusual. My bulbs are 21W. Are these the stock bulbs or is this higher in rating, hence the hot housings?

Finally got it installed.

Front and rear fender tips plus a new rear plate no. bracket.

The front tip was fabricated because the original was so expensive.

Glad it turned out okay.

The fender tips are bolted on and not glued on, right? I'm curious 'cos I know there's a fender tip from one of the US companies that's glued on, which means have to get it right the 1st time.

WOW...... all the mod makes the bike looks so so nice.......

My 2nd hand 2007 Shadow is quite run down now...... after having a kid, kind of have much less time to up-keep the looks for my ride.

Last month, just send it to Rosli for cleaning, servicing and repair. He found quite a bit of issues and changed quite a bit of things also....... I even changed the clutch plate so the bike now feels better and smoother. Just that the idling speed need some re-tuning again I guess by Rosli. Morning idle is too slow causing the engine to die off easily but when warm up, the idling will be too much......... have to send to Rosli again i guess but he's really really experience..........

Thinking of giving my bike an uplift. Preferably at a low cost. I loves the looks of chrome but now with less time on hand, not sure how I can maintain the shining looks loh........ Moreover now a lot of the chrome part are rusty already........ Also thinking of changing the exhaust so that can have better and nicer low sounding.......

Anyone has a good recommended shop that can help with the rusty chrome parts and also some re-spraying?? Is daredreamer a good place? Saw a lot of chrome parts from their website.

Also anyone has any exhaust to recommend? Read from this forum that modifying the existing stock exhaust is an alternative. Any shops that does that? And will it pass the annual bike test if modified?

If you're referring to the fender tip from National Cycle in the US. They are also bolted on but from under the fender so you don't see it.

I can't recall seeing any other brand of fender tip on the internet that's glued on.

This is the National Cycle fender tip. Very nice. Classy but super expensive.

Mine came from Easyriders in Japan. The bolts are on front. And it's way cheaper too.

Bro, you're very lucky to own a 2007 Shadow. My shadow is 13 yrs. old. I have invested on paint, chrome and accessories slowly over the past 7 months.

My advice is to start with small inexpensive mods like simply removing the pillion seat and just leave the solo seat (like mine). Or get some nice sidemirrors for example so that there's always something new and different. Also invest in chrome. There's nothing more beautiful than a shiny ride. Make time to clean your bike everyday. Even if you don't use it, spend at least 30 mins. just to wipe it. Imagining your bike was a sexy supermodel that you're caressing would certainly help too.

No problem.

Same year as mine. Same suggestion.

I'm picking up another mod from my fabricator today.

It's a brake cylinder cover. I had him copy it from a picture. I hope he did a good job.

Here's a pick of the original.

I'll post a picture as soon as I install it.

He did a good job. Very clean workmanship.

Personally, I feel that you have made a good choice in choosing the Shadow as your class 2A bike. Its very smooth, comfortable and durable with minimal maintainence needed.

The shadow @ 230kg dry weight is one of the heaviest bike for 400cc catagory. You will get use to it pretty soon..

However, stability and comfort comes together with it. (big fat seat for my big fat butt)

You may feel that the shadow lacks power whilst riding at speeds of 90-100km/h. Shadow's power band as per most Honda bikes comes in the higher Rpms. Twist the throttle to 120km/h and you will feel that the bike comes to life, however, top speed is around 150km/h+

Hope you find your Shadow soon.

Hi, i just got a 97 shadow, I can only max 120 km/h.. how to hit 150 plus? can tell me?

My Shadow is 400cc and I max at 120km/h too.

IMHO, if I ever wanted to go faster, I'd buy a bigger Shadow (750/1100cc).

Cruisers are for cruising, bro.
