I never really had a real relationship with god. y shld he help me if i've already foresaked him? come to think of it...although god do give me bad encounters, he will give me a solution to solve the problems. but i'm just too filled with anger that i only looked at the bad things but not the good things..

 

for example..the throttle cable thing..its actually good that they cant fix for me that nite cos i din noe that throttle cable so exp 60 bucks...brought 50 bucks onli...and never bring atm card...so if change need either to go home take or leave it there...and that night was my mum's birthday..need to rush back... next day went still never bring atm card and oso 50 bucks onli...while fixing..i ask mechanic den realise the price..i tot sian liao must go home take liao...den out of no where my friend appeared and he offered to pay for me first..ask him how come he here, he said he went to another shop and was just walking around see see look look..

 

at that moment i felt so stupid..maybe he's trying to prove sumthing to me..although this is just a very small matter..but i really feel alot of emotion at that point of time.

 

from then till now..i've been reflecting on myself.. den i saw your message..then i understand whats wrong. thanks joe.

I think you may wanna "re-think" this part.

He died for you didn't He?

He gave all of us a gift, a gift of grace, but like any giving situation... the recipient must... RECEIVE.

Sometimes God's help isn't as dramatic as

Moses crossing the red sea,

Noah & the Ark etc.

 

But note... such miracles require great faith too... also usually great persecution too.

i think the right perspective to see thing from His view is that God never abandons us even when our hearts drift far apart from Him & abandons Him.

 

In fact our loving Father God is constantly seeking us to return to Him , so that He can saves us from evil forces, harms, crisis, trials, temptations & tribulations. No loving father wants His children to suffer pain. Its same for our Father God. It is the children's fault who abandon the Father & failed to seek Him for help. All we have to do is pray & ask, seek & knock; we will find, door will open & we will recieve.

 

It's not true that when we become close to God, we will not faced problems, illness & pains. Even my pastor who leads a Miracle healing service may face occasional problems. But with God's help ; we who abides in Him & have faith in Him; will triumphed over everything in the name of Jesus.

periodically i also suffer from depression... feels a lot like a loser....see d list below n u can know y ...

 

so i try to lift myself up ...going trailing....n for sure joinin our Lightriders group hv been veri encouraging ....Tim, Edward, HM..etc has been a +ve influence....

 

Long list of why i feel like a loser ::

1. bought Steed back in 97 at above 15k...coe then was 3k... rode 3 years.. skidded..got afraid..sold it at 3k !!

 

2. bought d hdb at 300k at peak period... now i gues shd b ard 220k

 

3. kena clobber $ at Clob shares

 

4. lost few thousands at 2000 share crash

 

5. lost few thousands soccer betting few years back.... every game wil lose.. u wldnt believe one...

 

6. car accidents around 6 times since 2000.... on my Ford, on my Nissan Sunny... NCD non-existent

 

7. reecently lost few thousands on bike repairs on d Hurricane, Fireblade, KTM...

 

8. last year bot coe at 17k ..now oni $2

 

9. drop out of NCC course..dropout of TMC computer degree course, dropuout of Stansfield Biz degree after 1.5yr..dropuout of NTU engineering degree after 1 semester....

failed my last paper prev semester...

well i was never a good christian b4...when i first went to church, i was picked up on the street by someone from city harvest church..ya i was a chao ah beng last time. after sometime, my friends all stop going but i still continue..that time really felt relationship between me and god..but i left city harvest due to some reason, but continue going to presbyterian church, but not regularly...

 

till ard 4 years ago..i started to get very depressed...everyday just drink..lost interest in everything and lost faith in god.. i was diagnosed with major depression and alcohol abuse, and was warded at saf ward. from then on ...things just get worst..my relationship with my wife...basically i locked myself from the world. i will just drink everyday day n nite..

 

after intensive counselling and medication i'm better now...but still can't regain back faith for god...seems like its more then coincidence that bad things kept happening to me.

 

sorry to load all these nonsense here, i just want to vent. my friends always tell me : " dun like to talk to you lah..u so negative, talking to you makes me depressed too!"
