There are quite a bit of LED lights available in the market and I wonder if anyone in the forum have any luck converting their blinkers/tail light/brake lights to LEDs?

- procure locally? where? easy to install? need load equalizer?

Anyone try custom dynamics? satisfied with it?

I also have one Woon. It contains 2 minor + 1 inter + 1 major. They call it the 888 package. Note that it has a 2 years validity from date of purchase. Check if yours has expired.

Hi all,

Just like to find out how's the reliability of a Harley like?

I know most ppl will get one purely based on the looks, sound or lifestyle but for economic reasons, I'll like to find out more on the running cost of owning a Sportster.

I do not have a class 2 yet but am planning to get started on it real soon just for the a Harley.

Cheers

Harley engines are very hardy. it will take alot of abuse fr u. but u gotta be prepared to have leaks here n there (even brand new harleys leak) as there is alot of virbrations on the bike.

the maintainenceis pretty much the same. for a sportster, u only need to change the primary n engine oil. no transmission oil to change like a big twin. i change oils every 5000km, n oil filter n plugs every 10000km.

the cost comes in only when u wanna mod the bike n buy parts. parts are costly here in sg harley dealership. its best u buy them off ebay n get them shipped back, save u fr 30%-50%.

Hi Don Juan,

I'm awaiting delivery of my Fat Boy Special soon. Let me assure you that the weight of the bike is not a problem unless you happen to over-centre the bike. Then, even the strongest jock would not be able to hold it up. Just dampen the drop if this happens but be careful not to pull a muscle.

Your height is of great advantage for soft tail handling. I'm currently riding a Dragstar 1100A which weighs 370kg dry! I'm 1.6m short! The Harley is larger but so long as no overcentring occurs, which should not if you are careful, you will face no problems with the soft tail.

ALL THE BEST!

Installed mine today, took me less than 30mins.. (parts arrived 3 mths ago- too much traveling)..uneventful..quite easy to install.

MUST get the load equalizer for the turn signal (mine is a Fatty 2006), I tried without it and the signal lights will go funky...

Turn signal..maybe 50% brighter..not up to my expectation..:sian:

Tail light: 100% brighter.:thumb:

Those on a tight budget, just go for the tail light!

i inquired a few mths ago..but took the plunge..
