haha. Anyway skipper is very relax man (would try vxr or gmax maybe around Oct). Somehow i feel that less cars tried to tail me recently. Maybe they feel pointless playing a skipper lol!!

 

But 1 crazy P plate sp, i duno what he's up to. At traffice light stop beside me and start staring at my poor skipper. Then show me a action face.. LOL.

some P platers are like that. i sometimes wonder do they really know the different classes bikes can perform??

was riding Gixxer 1000 before changing bike, a P plater SP was tailing me for some distance from CTE Orchard. i was travelling in about 90 km/h cos i have a pillion sitting behind me. he then overtake me at about 110km/h i guess. Guess wat he did?? he slow down to 75 or 80 km/h waiting for me to catch up! when i was about to catch up with him, he then zoom off again. it happens 2 - 3 times. was so angry but can't do anything cos if i race with him, he will think that i using a 1000cc to bully his 150. the ' police and thief' pursue happens a couple of times after that. i was damn angry that i just squeeze my throttle alittle and it was like going about 150 km/h. can see from my side mirror that he is trying to catch me but i hack care and speed off. he was disappear from my sight after a distance. really dunno wat this type of rider was thinking?!! hahahaha

WhiteOryx: haha ya, my lowbo skipper is training up now with almost everyday long distance riding. And when i park in the carpark, it started drooling off. I came back and saw a pool of 2T on the floor. Somehow i managed to solved the problem. If i dont fill up the 2T ful, it wont started to leak. Last night when i pumped my tyre, to my surprise, my front and rear was 40PSI. I changed it to 30PSI as recommended and i felt that the tyre was way too soft. So i changed it back to 40 again. So far, my FC was 29km/hr which really surprised me. LOL

 

siaoguy75: i think this pple belongs to those group who believe that on Singapore road, is not da cc that matters, is the "skills" which i think its totally bullshit/crap. Singapore road no need skills wan lah, 1 straight road, who's troque/bhp is greater, who takes da lead. I ever heard of 1 case, the p plater in poly told me fren, "aiya, big bike so what? I overtake so many of them on expressway". Haha he didnt even know that those big bikes were actually cruising and didnt even notice him and his exists.

 

Recently while i was riding my 750, i was so lucky to meet the same kips same rider with logo on road who bullied me and my poor skipper on road few days ago.

The yaya character was still there. While travelling 60km/hr, he PiaAAaaaa passed me very near and gave me a shock. From the rear view, i recalled "ehh wasnt this tat guy?" Eventually we stop at a traffic light. He started staring me and blowing his throttle begging me to slaughter him alive. We started staring at each other (from inside i was damn paisei, his Piaaa piaaaa sound was drawing alot of attention). The game with my IPPT gold Gix was on. Having a peep at da front, the road was cleared, straight at abt 400m. I decided to drag my 1st gear and abit of 2nd to reach the next traffic light. When da light was about to turn green, i started to rev bit by bit and maintain, the roaring engine sound of the beast overrun the sound of da high pitch engine from da kips. I could sense fear and shock for the opponent. When it turns green, i released half clutch near to full and the rear tyre started spinning and da beast was drifting forward slowly. When the tyre catches the friction, it took off. Within a few sec, it reaches 120km/hr over and i reached the next traffic light. I turned my head behind and can still see the guy was lowering his head and speeding towards me. He stopped beside me quite a distance and was looking at his bike with a shock expression. After that i horned him and wave him good bye and turned left.

 

He was my 1st stranger i had ever played with so far. Come to think of it. Aiya, hack care lah, anyway my gix will be transfering to another owner in few days time. hahaa.

try giving dat rider a gd run for his $$ on ur skipper..even dat the skipper handles really bad but due to itz light weight aft some twitching it might be able to out run some Ah-Beng 200cc below "sportbikes"....by then the rider will even more shock

Hi, got my Skipper a few weeks ago. A few quick questions.

 

Whats the top speed a skipper can do?

Whats the average fuel consumption?

Where's a good place to to repairs & servicing?

Average FC: 22km/litre

Opened up the air filter box today and found out there was nothing in it.

 

Spare Parts shop got replacement but all flaky due to old stock, so I bought sponge and cut out to shape for DIY air filter.

 

After installing, got major flat spot and top speed dropped to 90km/h, so now back to no air filter

 

Any suggestions for after market air filters? K&N? BMC? Anyone done such a mod b 4?

actually the air filter prevents your carburetor from getting dirty leh..if no air filter...then more power...higher FC and need to wash carb sooner too

I'm worried that if i kept on travelling at 95km/hr. My belt will snap and i dunno what will happen.

Oryx can give you an account of what happens when belt snaps while on the road...I believe it's something like engine dies and bike comes to a stop...just signal left and try to stop at the shoulder lor..

omg... today i'm abit late for work. So i just maintain 95km/hr for about 10mins. AFter which, i had this rough feeling and the engine sound very very different. I though my belt going to snap. So i rode back to 80km/hr. The sound was like plugs was faulty of something.. i have no clue. When i reach my work place, there are white smoke coming out from my exhaust area and the engine sound was still wierd.

 

Anyone encounter this before???

Morning when i'm on my way home. Suddenly whole engine jam, then agressive engine braking. at 3rd lane moving to road shoulder (nearly knock down by a van at 4th lane). Then around my engine casing there came out alot of smoke. Tow to bikeworkz and ah beng confirm that it was my pistol. Pistol jam. Causes is because i ride too fast for it liao.. too shiong already and everything melt. Jialat. Where can i get a 2nd hand pistol? Ah beng got hard time finding 1 though. 1st hand is a MUST pistol come with blocks which cost a bomb.!

calculated my Skipper's Fuel Comsumption today. 21.75km per liter. Thats not so good

 

Another question. Do you guys have to rev like around abt (wat sounds like) 2000-2500rpm then the bike will move off from a stand still? Cuz mine does that.

 

If it shouldn't be like that, what's the problem?

there's not load on the bike except for me, no box, no sidecar, no pillion, just 60kg me. I just find it weird that I have to rev so much to get it going.
