Need help in doing Ghost multicast(DOS ver)

Hi all,

 

Not sure is this the correct place to post. But I need help on doing Ghost multicast(dos).

 

Example:

PC 'a' is my image server. If I want to reclone 2 PCs at the same time, without insert bootdisk to each pc. Is there a way to do it? Thks

Yes you can...you need a bootp server for doing this or a DHCP and TFTP server. Using Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE) on the clients.

 

Do google it. I'm sure they have one suitable for your needs. I hope I've given the correct info and didn't leave anything out.

Thks Ivikarazi.. sorry I'm noob in IT, I have tried google it but do not understand the step to do it. I only manage to reclone one PC at a time. Do you mind sharing the step how to clone many PC at a time without inserting bootdisc on each PC. Thks

There are no shortcuts. You may wanna read up on the white papers. Its not as simple as it seems. Its best if you can approach a person that has already done this and learn from him/her personally coz there are many ways to do this. Hope that helps.
