Legal Age/height to be pillion??

Does anyone know of any legal age or/and height to be pillion rider in Singapore?(especially small kids?)

I think there is no legal age or height unless its an infant lah. I have seen super young children on bike with thieir legs dangling. 2ct.

I remembered when I passed my 2A a few months ago, the instructor said that it is illegal to pillion anyone under 10 (or was it 12?) years of age regardless of how tall they are. I, too, can't find anything at the webby but you should double check with the authorities.

36. Restriction on carriage of child pillion passengers

 

No person riding a motor cycle or scooter on a road shall carry any child below 10 years of age as a pillion passenger.

"36. —(1) A driving licence shall not be granted to any applicant unless he passes the prescribed test of competence to drive. "

Please enlighten me the web site you got you info from, or hard copy.

once i saw a very young child hanging tight to the rider(should be father) very dangerous..i feel that there should be a mininum age to be pillon..incase anything unexpected happens...

it's Rule 36 of the Road Traffic Rules, not section 36 of the Road Traffic Act. you won't be able to find it online unless you have access to http://www.lawnet.com.sg. you can take it that it's been verified legally.
