based on my mechanic when i did the EO change for this bike it does have oil filter... but i donno what type of oil filter he reffering to... (is there many types?)

 

Next went to my fave shop @ AGL in JB... was told the belly pan would cost roughly about RM30 but its the casted plastic not the original... if we want he need to order lah... how? how many interested?

 

But sadly the S4 wind visor dont have lei... where to get arh ?

 

Yes, this bike does have oil filter from my knowledge..

after some thinking and some opportunity funds made available i am able to do some changes to my FZ....

 

Clocked my 6000 so means warranty over liao... sadly emailed yamaha but 1 week also they keep quiet so give up i do my own changes...

 

Changed my oil filter to yamaha oil filter, spark plug to NGK and FUCH SILKOLENE oil... Fully synthetic 10W-40

REVIEW... A CLEANER ENGINE = to bike like brand new just come out from SHOP:thumb:

 

Was a little itchy cant get the belly pan or wind visor as i wanted so got the tyre guard instead... damn forget the term for it again... its the one to prevent the mud from going to your underseat... normal plastic(similar quality as the chain guard we have) black in colour... not fibre carbon or anything...

REVIEW... outlook not obvious but will surely reduce that time clearing of dirt in the under seat each time u wash...

 

AIR HORN... Car type... loud enough to me but it seems the car infront of me today still cant hear... maybe he on the speaker full blast... bloody idiot... i was turning left in the "give way" saw the bugger was in the middle lane... when i completed my turn he was rite beside me... car halfway going into my lane... horned the bugger but he carried on... scare my pillion only... lucky i was going slow...

REVIEW... Horn was loud but didn't do its work...

 

TYRES.... Dunlop TT900 Thai... 90/80 Front 100/80 rear TUBELESS... wanted a 110/80 or 120/80 for the rear but no stock... 100/80 was the biggest they have... so just change lor lazy to order and wait... anyway the ORIGINAL tyres issued have very bad grips in my opinion... that can make the bike sway in strong wind!!!! Danger if u ask me almost lost control a number of times due to "drifting"... :S Anyway if the tyres are to my liking will go for the Japan ones BUT Damn EX LEI!!!! But wat to do... safety first...

REVIEW... Very Good grip... really removed the "sway" element when riding... anyway think these tyres need not be mentioned of what it can do anymore...

Damn smart sales tactic ... saw it coming but donno y i fell for it... but it was worth the money spent... but its more of a WANT than a neEd... its just a deterent can prevent but not stop bike from stolen... if only there would be a way that my device would notify me if my alarm went off.... Anyway Belz and CooLm u see the Uncle Ride FZ got alarm cool right???? But mine not voice activated arh... find it abit irritating so choose the normal beeping one...

REVIEW... LOUD!!!! VERY!!!! high Pitch... Can also custom the sensitivity and alarm type.... and the auto start is cool but cannot use often...

 

 

Will post pics if i have the time... now all i need is the S4 windshield(donno can fit or not anyone wanna let me test? or better still DONATE ), PANTHER GAMMA or RXZ modified BELLY PAN or and end with DECALS/STICKERS!!!!!

 

Total cost around 200 - 250... just nice within my budget... Will PM the exact damage to you kakis if u wanna know... maybe by now u all know what is this "opportunity" fund...

 

Hmmm read through other thread on safety gears now also considering liao... but due to my size always hard to find one that fits nicely... always very tight... Ok my other FZ kakis let me hear from you now!

I hve been looking at Pulsar and CBF150 and am now focusing on CBZ150 as it's reliable, base on reading forumers feedback, is better and also cheaper to maintain; now comes FZ150i into my life.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaa..... Other than the belly pan... i read up on a malaysian FZ150i forum on REAR DISC BRAKES...

 

The rims of the LC can fit into our bike as it is very much similar... so all we need to do is FIND the LC RIM (must be old model type) and do some "adjustments"... Will go try look out more on it...

 

Just when i thought i should stop... a new idea struck...

Bro, u can buy the "rotatable" Blind Spot mirror for $4.50 a pair in Shell station man.. If u fix tis mirror to the S4 mirror, I think U really can see all the way to Thailand ! LOL

Can... Most mirrors are standard items and can be fitted into one another.... and last i asked S4 mirrors is $30 each

donno y so ex... phantom ones i not sure havent ask...

 

Front ferring is in india it seems... but theirs isnt fuel injected and its made up of more plastic than metal... (unconfirmed info from the web)

Another way is to do your own ferring... how much im not sure BUT i was once quoted $80 just for a custom made belly pan (dat small bottom exhaust cover)... or can also try to import from indon... but then i havent found contacts yet on how to do it... will share once i do...

Tks for the pics....but only 1 full pic can see a little clearer lah. The rest very dark(except the one with ur princess ). Can take during daytime or not? The bike looks cool. How's maintenance and spare parts cost? Hve been looking for street bike with low and easy to maintenance, good fuel consumption and good speed. CBF150 almost met my req'ments but for the max speed. Looks like FZ150i will meet my needs:D.

I would recommend putting unnder the seat.Y? tis device only check ur voltage, which means the remaining volts in ur batt. lets say ur batt had full 12v, over the time it will drop, when it drop to near end, u knw when to change new batt man. u can oso monitor the voltage consume by ur addition fix in stuff like alarm. for waterproof, jus put silicon clement ard the closing gap lor & use wrist band to cover the whole side of it. Y under the seat? i am sure u wouldnt wan pp to tample wit it & u would need to monitor most of the time ma, somemore under the seat more protection too man. lol

Digital voltmeter. The Dynamax u guys talking about. Had to seal it with some silicone. Tapped the power from from the headlights. The IU sticker. Look like simple mod but it works. Forgot my cash card a few times. Luckily still there when i got back. Especially when its places like PS and Lucky Plaza.

Anyway i looked your arrangement of your snail horns. U mite wanna point it downwards instead of each other. The vibes from each horn would occassionally cancel out each other. Not only that. Them placed closed together would even affect its performance as they work on electromagnets. Thus not effective. Just point it downwards. Best if away from each other.

As i have the intention of changing my bike and also catching up on models of bike avail now, this bike catches my attention.

 

I decided to do more research. U know, going to official sites; digging up on the archive of others blog; searching video on youtube; touch when passby motordiam.. Oh, something is still missing.

 

Riding it...

 

Luckily i meet a bro here, coolman1982, was willing to have dinner with me to give me his opinion/feedback and most of all, to actually ride it!

 

I must say, i am very surprised by what this bike gave me. I was like, what-the-f***, o.m.g, geez..etc

 

Look is good.

 

Start engine is simple.

 

Sound is surprising. Not too loud, not too annoying.

 

Seat is tall, i was shocked.. Maybe too used to my low seating. But, still manageable! A few more seconds i got used to it, no worry

 

Accelerate is smoooooooootttthhhh. Got power... The feel is like... u slowly slice a freshly bake cheese cake from top to bottom....

 

Mmmm....

 

....

 

Ok, 2 rounds at the carpark... i had enough. If not i will surely ride home, leaving coolman1982 standing there with my bike

 

As our session coming to end, i request i be his pillion and show me the real beauty out of it. He okay. "Lai"

Hop on to pillion seat, normal. But... i feel... rather... gentle on my butt... Prob early didn't notice it as my concentration is on riding it... Too long on AUTO u see...

 

Off we go, towards bbdc, and beyond... towards CCK. The new stretch of road... Straight, no car, good place

 

Along the way, Zig Zag several time (mean can corner ez and good) squeezing is ez as well.

 

0 -> 40km/h is like.. ~4 sec

41 -> 60km/h is another 2~3 sec

60 -> 80km/h is another .... huh..?

80 -> 1....2...0...km/h ..... (securing my loosely fitted helmet)

 

Reaching 115km/h to 120km/h, RPM @ 7 ~ 8,000 where 10,000 is where the red marking at... Correct hor? In short, means can still go on de loh

 

But LL, reach traffic light.. Gonna U-turn back..

 

U know, the road outside bbdc towards gombak mrt... the road is very bumpy... after all the digging, so call upgrading? Well, i don't have a hard time at the back!

 

Even this bike has only 1 suspension at the back? Correct hor? The feeling is like, in the car... mmmm~
