These 3 dampers look so hi tech. I wonder if these are harder to steal than the conventional damper cos the designs look rather cheem...

Scotts - manufactured by ohlins.

http://www.scottsperformance.com/photos2/287.jpg

Each mounting kit is specific to a certain bike. We have meticulously assembled each kit so they come complete with all the necessary hardware to mount your steering stabilizer. Most kits require only minutes to install. The kit pictured and the majority of kits include: a Stabilizer, link arm, Triple Clamp nut, Frame Bracket, Tower Pin, TC Damper Mount, instruction manual and applicable bolts.

zx10r 2004-2005: requires no drilling.

zx6r 1998-2004: requires no drilling.

zx6r 2005-2006: requires drilling of 2 holes.

# It is the only Stabilizer with three fully adjustable circuits.

# It is the only Stabilizer that has an adjustable damping control that allows 25 adjustment clicks while riding.

# It is the only Stabilizer that allows you to adjust the amount of degrees of damping you want from centerline.

# It is the only Stabilizer that has a "High Speed Circuit" designed to absorb those sharp edged jolts.

# It is the only Stabilizer that successfully works for every type of motorcycle application!

# It is the only Stabilizer that easily moves from motorcycle to motorcycle in literally seconds.

# It can be used for your casual bike and your race bike without any internal changes.

# It mounts out of harms way and is not easily damaged from crashes.

# It mounts in literally minutes in most cases.

Why did i choose a Scotts Rotory Damper?

First off, it can be adjusted while riding from turn to turn. Also, bcoz of it's unique mounting position,

it remains generally out of harms way. Even a severe "lay down" will not effect it as it's protected from most crashes. The more common "telescopic dampers" are damaged even in the most trivial of crashes. Even dropping your bike can damage the telescopic type!

Also, Scotts damper has a "high speed" damping circuit. Most impacts & head-shake at the front wheel are high speed movements, where on the other hand, turning is a low speed movement. If you don't like the feeling the Scotts provides in turn, you can ADJUST IT OUT & STILL RETAIN THE RESISTANCE TO HIGH SPEED IMPACTS,NO OTHER DAMPER HAS THIS FEATURE!!! etc etc

P.S. Kawi71 sure to say something! :sian:

i like the idea of scotts. BUT.. it needs drilling to my frame as well. i totally HATE the idea of poking holes in my greenie bone. so i guess i have to look at GPR. nxt i will need to compare the performance between these two which i somehow couldnt find it anywhere.
