my friend got me interested in this bike when i was looking for 2B bike...was gonna buy phantom until i saw this...haha

 

anyone can advice me on insurance? 24yo p plater with 3-4years class 3 driving experience.....but im only 168cm with 48kg..duno can take the bike's massive size anot

 

due to budget constrains i think i'll find a 2nd hand though....damn interested in this bike man

im not trying to jinx/curse...etc but 48kg @ 168cm is really light haha. im afraid that if the bike topples, it might be very hard to get it back up urself. but anyway since you're that tall you should not be easy to topple the bike.

i've always been skeptical about additives. what are you using?

 

btw, my FC has dropped to 25km/l. I wonder wtf is going on.

i pump/check my tires every week, oil my chain every 1 or 2 weeks, haven't put on weight. haha.

anyone has any theories? i change gears at 8000 - 9500rpm for Gears 1 - 3, 10,000rpm and above for Gears 4 - 5.

dont drag your bike too much.. gear 1-3 8000+ too much , same for gear 4-5 ..

i so heavy also doesnt need to drag so high..

the higher you drag , the more petrol needed..

always change to higher gear asap..

ehhh i think the rest of them also shift gears at about the same as me and they are still getting 35km/l. All along,since day1, my FC has been at 30km/l and since the 1yr that has passed since i had this bike, it had been dropping steadily but surely.

Interested but not from Motoworld HJC...the fit doesn't suit me... Thinking of a Shoei MultiTec...or a System 6 helmet..but the price range is WAH!

YH, sorry to hear that, thats a painful FC... Anyways you could do what Nikon is doing and use some additives, they change the quality of the petrol some even help to clean the Fuel Injection

 

Another way, just go easy on your gear changing, don't need to over rev too much before each gear change.

 

gEAR 1 - I'll rev till 8k rpm to pick up from stop line

Gear 2-5 - I'll change once i hit 7k rpm each time

 

Another way, you could pump 98 or shell V-power i heard the higher octanes get you more mileage. Not to mention they burn cleaner

 

K&N air filter....hmmm this one according to Roy supposedly its suppose to bring more air in to give better combustion but whether or not it burns more fuel will depend on the rider, the more you twist the more petrol you burn.

 

So far i've given up checking my FC already...i pump once every 1week..

 

yea i will cut down on the gear changing. i've always pumped 98 so i don't think i will change it. i pump once a week as well but i don't ride everyday so it's ok for me i guess.
