wondering any of you installed the Volt meter of your bike?

because my bike was unable to start the engine while i goto town last saturday when going back home, when turn on, everything keep reset...luckily it was working after i changed the battery on second day, cost me $120 Y_Y

so does the Volt Meter able to tell when the battery gonna drain out/spoil?

how much huh?

Posted

yes it does. i forgot the price but i think its around 50 bucks w/ installation. check forum and see.

cka, kaki bukit, ubi, has a koso one when i was there. Can ask them

basically, with engine on without any electronics; should give u about 14.4v?

14.1 with headlights on

battery in good health will not drop below 10v

if the battery drops at 9v when starting, prepare to change battery

if you start up ur bike and the voltage does not increase, ur coil and/or rectifier may be faulty

so in all, voltmeter is a good investment

Hi Fleas, thanks for the link! but the Size : (W) 40mm x (B) 22mm x (H) 18mm is abit too small =.=

trying to looks for others which have more function hehe

i saw 1 from ebay, there is warning signal when the voltage is lower than certain level (although it is abit lebih =.=)

small is good what, that one is quite big. im using about that size and i feel its abit big. you can try cka(kaki bukit). they have 1 that is slim by koso. just go see

define problematic for clutch. like cannot kick down to gear 1 or what

guys need help..My B.I.L volunteered to wash my bike for a packet of cigarette so I agreed..came to the washing area and to my horror he was washing the bike with the green abrasive sponge( to clean woks and pans)...now got tiny scratches on the surface..u think wax will help to cover the scratches..

If not have to do full wrap or paint..Any other ideas..

what is B.I.L?

GG. its quite impossible to remove the scratch as it has damage the top coat which is a protective layer to the paint work.

try wax first. its still possible to save. if not you can try shops like juzzwheels to put a full body decal/vinyl instead of spraying. not sure if its more expensive though.

i know hlc body paint is about 250? i think. got to ask them

Hi all riders!!

By any chance if any of you guys are looking into getting good quality GOREtex jackets/raincoat. Please give my product a consideration too.

link : http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/370050-lt-CMO-gt-SALES-OF-GORETEX-APPARRELS-JACKETS-*Not-Common-Brands*

Alot of color choices and not the common brands of raincoat riders are using. Quality of water resistant is as good as NS issued. However, it's of a much thinner layers to suit our hot climate. Mutiple air ventilation zippers on the jacket too for riding during the day to protect from sun. More info please refer to thread or contact us! Thanks and ride safe! Cheers!~~
