Hey guys,I'm a rwr rider here.I'm experiencing some problems. I can't start my bike unless I push start and it can't idle. Help)': and yeah,it'll be nice to have an rwr outing.

Isit cause of battery? when u start up with the electric start is there any cranking sound or just dead flat with no sound at all? try keep trottling at rpm at 2 or 3 for few mins after you have push start to see if its able to idle.

Hope that helps =x

Yea i wanna have a rwr outinggggg :(

thanks for creating the whatsapp group.

hope more rwr125 riders can join in :p

Having the whatsapp group makes us rwr rider easier to communicate to each other though its gonna cause the rwr thread to die off again soon ahahahha:cry:

This post was written many years back but since there's an influx of new riders and I believe some of them would like to know how to use the buttons and stuff

here you go:

there are 2 buttons on the speedometer:

Left button

Pressing: changes between odometer and tripmeter

Holding the button when it is on tripmeter: clears tripmeter

Holding the button when it is on odometer: set your time (Press/Hold [Right button] to adjust and press [Left button] to move from hour, minute and to finish)

Right button

Pressing: does nothing(unless setting time)

Holding: changes between km/h and mph

Thanks fleas for the tips, it certainly is a useful information for rwr riders who did not see or miss out the old post.

On a side note, theres a up-coming outing for rwr riders for makan session and see each other's rwr @ 1st FEB 2015 (to be confirm again next week).

Got bored and went through the whole thread and summerise up the mods/enhancment for our bike to improve performance:

Information is taken from the previous post and from what I've research:

Safety

1. steel braided brake line (for safety)

2.Hella Horn

3.Aftermarket brake pads( EBC FA196/ FA196HH)

4.BT090 Tires (Change away stock asap)

5.Tire Pressure (220front, 240rear w/ pillion)

Performance

1. Power Abuser/Ignite (boost our stock sluggish rwr power by increasing acceleration and lesser engine brake. And also stronger voltage, better spark. Can be removed easily n transfer to another bike. So, u only need one time $$ investment for all ur future bike!

2.Change spocket(15/45 stock acceleration higher, 15/42 Top end speed higher).

3. Change K&N air-filter (More air-intake, benefit higher end).

4. Remove mainstand(lesser weight).

5 .NGK/denso iridium sparkplug.

6. Change Exhaust to Ixil Carbono / Ixil Shorty. (I'm using shorty, slight improvement in acceleration)

7.Tire size to 130/70 rear. (higher speed at lower rpm).

Aesthetic

1. Koso Mirrors

2.CNC Grips (May need to cut the internal rubber)

3. Mod Rear Fender (I think it's won't pass inspection)

4. Box (Personally feels it looks nice for rwr with box)

Our bikes are EFI so there's no need to adjust the amount of petrol to match the air coming in everytime you change a performance parts, unlike carb models. Hope this info helps.

sorry for butting in.....old rw rider, maybe u might find it annoying. sorry.

sharing my knowledge, ignore if u dislike it.

items 1, 3, 5, 6 will not enhance performance, reasons r:

ecu fuel map is the main control for performance via air-mass and O2 (oxygen) sensors.

no matter wat u have free high air-flow filter or large exhaust system, the two sensors will pick up signal and transmit to ecu, delivery the amount allotted in its fuel map. thus u need to know how to manipulate it.

any bigger/larger dia exhaust header will give poor performance output. this is common knowledge among engine tuners.

rwR efi will give performance output if u ride above 5k rpm, u should know wat i meant. any other electronic wont help, especially those power abuser/ignite. u r throwing away good money.

removing centre stand, do save weight but if u diet will save more weight than the stand.

thinner tyre is good, lesser contact surface, lesser drag means lesser horsepower to drive.

stock spocket ratio is 3.0, ie. 42/12=3.0

i have tried spocket ratio from 2.7, 2.8 n 2.9.

2.9 is the best among all, ie. 44t/15t.

2.7 n 2.8 ratio, may felt lacking in power. especial going up a long hill/slope road/highway.

sorry butting in again, as i dun have business here. just kp, ignore if u dislike it.

-Hey there's nothing to ignore it if the information benefit us, I'm opening up to ideas at ways we can tune our bike, though its a 125cc, it wouldn't hurt to see how far this baby can go yea.

-Regarding ECU, I've asked roy whether can it be tuned but unfortunately it can't be done and there's no aftermarket ECU for our bike either. Was thinking of Dyno tune/ test, but doubt there's any place to do this for a 2B bike huh?

-I've my doubts on the filters too though, When I first got this bike, it was already installed with K&N air filter, so I couldn't really tell does it benefit our bike, but certainly from what I can feel is that the K&N filter makes power at the lower end really bad. (like too much air intake but no power deliver)

-Abuser / exhaust / tires mention above is what I've change and experience it first hand. Therefore I'm just sharing what I experience hahaha. Theory wise may not improve like you say, but I always let the machine do the talking after changing it. No point for me to lie too hahaha no offence. And the rest of the information in my previous post was simply copy and paste from the earlier post.

I was just quoting those base on the previous post in this thread, I too, am new to the bike world, to this bike too, so I'm merely compiling those information base on what I see here:thumb:

Some qns to ask:

1) Rw and RWR share the same stock sprocket size? (front 14 back 42)? When I got my bike from the previous owner its already 15/45. I met up with the other rwr too and they too have the same sprocket ratio of 15/45.

2) Was thinking of changing to 15/42t, but like you say 15/44t(2.9) may be better among the 3 ratio. Does the difference between 15/45 and 14/44 a lot? I don't wanna change to a 44t and it does not make much difference uhh

3) Any aftermarket sprockets we can opt for other than stock? I think cka got rear 42 and 45 only ahh, never check with them whether they have 44t rear anot.

4) Any more useful tips on how to increase performace for our little 125?

Thanks for the contribution, its greatly appreciated!

physically rw n rwR r the same except for engine plus electronics.

spocket ratio 15/45=14/42=3.0.

ratio 15/44=2.9, imo is the most balance for rw, may not be the same for rwR.

2.8 will consume more fuel (more load) n lack power to drive.

3.0 is too much vibrate for comfort becoz the old rw dun have balancing shaft unlike rwR.

ratio 14/44=3.14, if rwR doesnt vib alot than it will have more drive power.

top speed will reduce by 5~10%.

i brought 44t spocket at LAB, less than $10, DIY installation.

u can buy n let other bike shop or cka install 4 u + service charge $$.

not recommend installation by LAB, they will do more damage.

power band for rw is 5~8k rpm, i believe its the same for rwR.

so as long as u want a good joy ride, throttle/shift gear @ 5k rpm n cruise @ 8k rpm.

i thought of using 120/70-17 tire for rear, smaller rear tire will increase drive power.

becoz less contact drag, smaller circumference, less mass/heavy n less load.

rw/rwR rear rim is 4", cant use 110/70-17 n 120/70-17 cannot fit (too large).

smallest is bt-45 rear 130/70-17, recommend rim 3.5", fit approx rim 3~4" rim, can fit to our rw/rwR.

alternative to our uncommon stock tire swallow 140/60-17 tire.

bt-45 rear 140/70-17 is correct fit to 4" rim, will rub against rear fender if chain adjust too inwards.

bt-45 rear 150/70-17 is also for 4" rim but do be careful, wide tire side wall may rub against the chain.
