where got full power? 1/2 power only. pls note it's after 1 yr. u hit another point exactly on the same date the following yr after ur last demerit also kantong.

if the 1st year you finished your points and the 2nd year you are involved in a major demerit point systems....they kantong because you exceeded the 24 points totally.

they dont based on yr. to be more accurate, 1yr+1day after ur last demerit.

 

eg

new driver passed 1 jan 07, he got 12 pt

15 jun 07-6pt

23 nov 07-6pt

 

from 23 nov 07 - 23 nov 08, he cannot kenna any pt. 24 nov 08 onwards, start fr 12pt.

 

learned driver with 24pt

15 jun 07-6pt

23 nov 07-12pt

1 nov 08-6pt

 

1 nov 08 - 1 nov 09, no additional pt, or else kantong. fr 2 nov 09 onwards, 12pt, maintain 1 more yr, 24pt.

 

 

 

note: std 1yr's calculation is day-1, yr+1. however they could take day-0, yr+1 as 1yr after last demerit. thus to be very very very safe, it's 1yr+2day after ur last demerit.

um, iirc, 24 auto revoked, let me see if I can find my FTT book....

 

"DIPS allows drivers to accumulate less than 24 pts within 24 months before he becomes liable for suspension." (and suspension from DIPS is auto-revoke)

 

As compared to "13 or more" within 12 months for P-plate revoke.

maybe the keyword is "liable" lah... so if u exact 24, maybe they "close one eye" bah, although they can revoke if they want to... just my guess...

note in bold, liable dont mean confirm, more like maybe. lets say u involve in major accident, kenna more than 1 rule, add up total just nice 24 in 1 shot, they can suspend u.

K. arthur, my understanding of suspension and revoked is as follows:

 

Suspended to me means, that the offender accumulated 24 points and has the licence on hold for about 12 months. In the case of that person having 0 points, depending on his level of offence, will maybe escape the suspension or not.

 

Suspended offenders can resume back their class of licences after the suspension.

 

0 points fellas never lose their licence and can still continue to ride/drive.

 

Revoked fellas are where usually the suspended period exceed the maximum time to collect back their licence and have to start anew in the licence from the smallest cc.

actualli suspend or revoke is up to judge.... dat 1 onli rule book. like got many cases come out papers: NON p plater. he beat red lite n hit person. revoke on the spot n changi... another case is the test driver he nvr infringe any rules but buang n killed the car salesgirl. oso changi n revoke. but u follow book 24 points is shld be 3 mths suspension, no revoke. 23 points still cn ride

dangerous driving if u see rule book onli 24 points is suspension wat. speeding like f1 racer oso most is more than 60 kph is 24 point, suspension no revoke.. rulebook say revoke all class liscence but y got some onli revoke 2a keep 2b, or class 3? but anyway i shldnt argue wif u
