Sungei Yong Waterfall hiking trip 9-10 aug, 3 slots left

hi all! am looking for kakis to join me n my frds on a hiking trip to sungei yong waterfall... it will be a 2 day 1 nit trip leaving saturday 9th aug 730am, back by sunday 10 aug 10pm. as for ladies who wanna join us will be glad to noe dat half the group are females, so no worries we will be going in a group of 8-10 pax.

 

 

Sungei Yong is relatively unknown to most people, the river is about 18 km east of Kluang, Johor. It is located in the same oil palm plantation as Gunung Belumut.

 

Other than the relatively clean state of the river, it also boasted 7 large waterfalls and 20 smaller ones. The main waterfall is about 80m in height (almost 20 storey high) However, as most of the larger waterfalls are found on a short stretch of the river and the waterfalls come in various heights, it is not easy to classify and count the actual number of large waterfalls encountered. But there are certainly many small ones about one or two meters high.

 

The walk in to the campsite beside the lower waterfall is about 1.5hrs, it is actually quite easy as the road is wide and mostly flat through the plantation. Some parts might be a little muddy though. We will be camping at the lower falls which is just beside the quiet stream, there is a nice pool to relax and swim in.
