Yeah...he can really hold the ball well...what a waste that dyer did not convert the goal after a great move by him....dyer = thriller...sadly he just dont have the quality to finish...

I think Geremi should play in the midfield, and big sam should get quality right and left backs. If right back is out injured, Geremi can cover. The rest of the team imho is sorted.

 

I think the business on Lahm, Deco, Ronaldinho are all just sensational stories la. Of the 3, i think the most likely to move is Deco, but for him to put on black and white is a pretty far shot I think.

With the reports in the media this off-season being sensationally far-off, I wouldn't really pay much attention to these never-ending rumours and get my hopes up.

 

Stories linking us to players like Deco, etc are most often stories created by the media to fill up empty spaces in ther newspapers. Take them with a pinch of salt. If it happens, great. If it doesn't..what's new?

 

With that being said I just have to say according to match reports and comments from our fellow Geordies in Tyneside, Carr was impressive in his last two preseason outings. He was terrible for us the past 2 seasons. I think Big Sam's magic has rubbed off on Luque and Carr.

 

I think BS is focusing on our defence seeing that we're about 3-4 defenders short.

The Daily Mail says Toon boss Sam Allardyce had said that Smith was not among his targets, but injuries to Joey Barton and Michael Owen in what is an already threadbare squad have caused him to switch his sights to the versatile England man.

 

Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are also in the hunt for the 26-year-old, who has 18 England caps, but it is believed the player's preferred choice is Everton if they can raise the money.

 

Smith is keen to return to his more accustomed role as a striker but his ability to play in midfield makes him an attractive option for a stretched Newcastle.
