Insurance policy that insures the rider

Thinking about it... All of us buy insurance and spend so much $$ to insure the bike... But, how about ourselves?

 

Is there any insurance policy out there insures the rider? Other than comprehensive insurance.

Well, i just got a personal insurance from NTUC. it costs me $44 but covers me at $1,000 of hospital bills, and $50,000 for deaths and stuffs.

personal accident coverage. maybe you should find out more from your financial advisor. and i may be wrong, but i think comprehensive (first-party) insurance does not insure YOU from accidents, just your motorcycle.

There are many types of insurance available to cover yourself if you want - hospitalisation and surgical insurance and disability income are probably the most useful.

If you have dependents, life insurance might be useful (choose a term life plan for more cover).

Personal accident and hospital income is usually the lowest priority for the limited protection they offer compared to the more useful ones above.

 

The question is, there are all these things out there, but which ones would riders (as a group) be interested to get when they buy or renew their motor insurance?

 

If the community gives me some indication of interest, I'm sure an add-on can be arranged for a motor + PA policy, for instance.

TS you mean motor insurance that covers riders / passengers right?

 

Much like in Thailand where the insurance is to cover the rider / or passengers you ferry.

 

There are some pretty good personal insurance around, put up a hint you wanna get one, pretty sure a handful here will start PM you soon.
