yesterday my fren helped me opened up the belt cover to chk on the belt n rollers before goin k'l this wkn. it seems that the belt still looks new only a few hairline crack was seen on the surface of the belt tooth. I think Madcow75 u really change ur belt too early as my mileage is already 18000+km. my mechanic friend told me it still can be use for another 5-7000km more.

on inspecting the rollers and other mechanical parts inside the belt cover, no wear n tear was found. in other words still in good condition. So Madcow75 y did u change ur rollers? was it recommended by the manual/ASP mechanic/ or u found something wrong. Care to share the reason.

one thing that was noted was the air filter was terribly dirty n i think my transmission problem may b due to this finding. but a few hard knocks cleared most of the dirt n now my bike is exhaling strongly again.

actually was intending to send my bike to yamaha service centre for the 20000km svc, but on 2nd thoughts, if my fren did not chk for me the condition of the cvt parts, u will never know y u need to chg them as in the svc center u r not allowed to see what the mech do on you bike. you are only allowed to sit in their office to wait till ur svc is completed. during the opening up process, my fren found out that one screw is missing n the rest of the screws holding the air filter box was not tight??

ADR,

when you popped open the belt cover, was there a gasket? DId you have to replace the gasket?

On my TMAX, there is a gasket and after removing all the bolts, I found it stucked. Not having a spare gasket, I decided not to proceed as I could see the belt from a vent hole and it looked ok.

thanks hope to meet u all soon, hope u can guild me on how to open the cover to check the v belf

$13000 OTR

Wanted a black Majesty initially but current model do not have. 05 model has Black, Green, Blue and Silver. Thats my decision for trading up....always wanted a black scooter.

Skywave 250SS model also nice.

That time before I bought test drive the Skywave(Burgman), Majesty and Silver wing...hard to choose... but like the feel of the Yamaha.....Skywave....a little slow but looks nice...Silverwing smooth acceleration.....

My regular mechanic also have good contact for Yamaha Spare parts..thats important i guess.

Difference around $1K more ...between 04 and 05 model.

Lost around $1K due the loan interest and the additional costs like tax and stuff.

COE also not in yet.

will give my box away....new bike may not put box.

Clutch plate ....dont know....havent ask

Sorry arr some more question, so you trade in your bike for about $10-11K isit?

If that is the case I am also very interested in upgrading for the 05 model,

I bought mine for about $9k last year (2nd hand), the bike about 5 months old then.

Which bike shop do you frequent. Can recommend?

Did you dismantle the scoot yourself?

I didn't paint it myself, I send it to a shop. Didn't take out the whole bike but help put most of the part back.

Love to have a Majesty outing......if there's one please pm me...thanks in advance.

:btw:....I'm ridding a 1997 Majesty 250, is there a power cut on this model ? It very smooth when I ride on straight road within the speed of 90 ~ 100 km/h, If come to bent, and if I maintain at the speed of 100 ~ 110 km/h, there's a search of power and it will restore after 2~3 second. Anyone have any idea?...where you guys serviceyour Majesty?

Many thanks

My present experience. Is the result of my past action

My present action, will be my future experience.
