Btw, i'f i were in ur situation, i would trade in the bike + the cash, to buy a new or 2nd hand scoot.....

 

Sometimes, overhauling is bike isnt gonna confirm tt ur bike is back in tip top condition........................i'm writing from a painful experience i once had.

If I need to overhual the engine...it will cost me 1K (no change) Because the con rod and the cam shaft come 1 set and it cost about $500, piston and both valve, belt and roller and workmanship so all in all it about one thousand bucks.

its changing the plate for the belt drive. 2hours of work only. not over haul

04 model is about S$13k ... S$1k short of a '05 SW.

my 1st bike is Honda CD185T.

I bought it for S$850, spends about S$2k overhaul the engine, adn sold it for S$3800 after the COE system kicked in.

get the 05 model if u r always in jam and minor road condition or prefer more braking power. other wise 04 model will b nice with its power n speed not forgetting its look. you can chk though the hk bike website for the differences.

It has nothing wrong with the Majesty engine, I strongly believe that Majesty engine are built to last for more than our COE expire date, it the rider that was at fault. 1. is the engine light with the teapot pic and is red in color?

mine lighted up but now mysteriously disappear after i buang the bike...

2. my engine can't idle at cold, what could be the cost of it?

3. fc is around 260km/7.31L is this ok? i normally keep to 85-95km/h.

mileage 45K+

4. when do i change the belt, does minor maintenance ans where is recommended?

Yap that the engine oil indicator.....if it lighted up continuously, most likely is engine oil running low, check your engine oil.

Maybe you need to check your auto choke.

To me it super good milage (avg about 35km / liter)

I've no experience on belt change, there's a inspection window to check the condition of the belt. Try to go to shop that are expert in scooter repair, maybe you can go to kallang ave, there're a few scooter repair motorshop.
