Could it be your clutch that's causing the vibration? I have vibration problems too but only when it hasn't warmed up, after that ok already. But mine is a 2 year old bike that's why the vibration does not constantly happen...

I think it is just worn out rollers

Could be as well... Not easy to determine by normal user like us, all we can do is by guess and understanding the experiences gathered from mechanics... :cheeky:

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

hmmmm i suspect same problem as me.

Possible problems.

1.clutch

2.Mounting aka "dogbone"

3.Suspension

after changing parts by parts then i found out the main culprit is the dogbone... the clutch is second and suspension is contributing factor......:cheeky:

A friend of mine went to HK for holiday so I ask him to help me lookout for the Givi rack.. Found a 2nd hand unit for HKD400 but short of the 4 bolts below.. Do you guys know the size of the bolts?

if your bike is the year 2000 and above, it should fit.

depends on top overhaul or other parts.....

understand from doc ponytail that a overhaul can cost easily few hundred and can range till thousand plus depending on severity..... y so X?... because most of the time need to "drop" engine, change caskets etc etc....

this is what i understand based on the fact of 2 of our fellow YP250 riders overhauled their ride.... one of them brought u in to fix audio...

Hi,

I am new to forum, more of a silent observer, but not new to bikes in general.I have visited HL yesterday to look-see, and saw a Majesty 250 Sport on the front most pedestal.

Very nice machine, keyless start system, enormous storage space, a few modes for the transmission.

I would like to know if anyone here is a owner of the bike. I also would like to know of its performance ( handling, cornering, stability, power etc) of the bike.

I'd like to make a comparison with the majesty 400, which is approximately $1500 lesser(machine price only) then the new 250 Sport model.Anyone who has an comments or suggestions pls feel free to contribute....

wat i know is that the majesty sport is not approve by LTA on the road yet. so unlikely any can be seen on the road yet.

then for the Grand Majesty 400, its a DOHC single cylinder bike. speed wise in excess of 160km/hr. the Majesty Sport 250 is a SOHC single cylinder bike. speed wise in excess of 120km/hr. wat u intend to do with a scooter? some touring occasionally or just for local ride?

YP400 is a great bike....no problems encountered during my years of riding it. Only prob I had was with the stock IRC tires...really slippery. Power is great for a 400cc twist and go. No scoot till today is stable, has great handling and corners like a sports bike....so if you ride one, ride safely....

bigcow,

I was told dat 4 majesty sports have been sold...could be a hype to raise interest on the bike, or could be the truth.

Currently my ride is a Foresight 250, a rather aging machine.Much of the riding is made to work and back, quite often with a pillion. The bike before the Foresight was a 400cc.Dat was very much missed.

After hearing abt wat u said abt the yp400, it seems dat it would be a better machine in terms of acceleration and speed..( not that i would be doing anything close to 160km/h)..but rather something dat would have the grunt to keep up with traffic speeds with drivers who have a heavy right foot..

Space and storage would be the next thing. 2 helmets should/ could be store is a definite must. What r u tots??

boogiemonster,

Thanks for that piece of information.Much appreciated.I ride a older 250 Foresight and i have problems keeping up w traffic esp w a pillion..( if alone its ok).

My riding is very much to work and back..mostly w missus. My concerns would be dat the new yp250 sports would be......still a 250.I'd be paying dat much, and its still a 250. Dats the reason why, i'd like to know more abt both bikes.

As for the YP400, hows the mileage like on a full tank of fuel? When u compare w the yp250, would it be reasonably more stable?Any issues with the variator, belt, clutch on the time u rode ur yp400?

The YP400 Grand Majesty shouldn't be a problem to store 2 helmets. the underseat is kinda big too. but there is a small prob. which is, both the previous YP250 & YP400's seat, can only open the rider's side. not the whole seat like the other scooters.

YP400 FC is 22km/l-24km/l as compared to YP250 28km/l-32km/l. Power wise, the acceleration of the 400 is much better and all round performance is definately better than a 250. Stability is slightly better due to it's weight.

After riding it for 25000km, went for a transmissing check.....I changed only rollers and u-clips. The rest of the transmission stuff as good as new. At 45000km, went for another check, changed rollers and u-clips again, belt still good but I opt to change it to be safe....so belt can last quite long and the rest is still good.

Bro....ultimately a 250 is a 250 and still a 250. If you are looking for better performance and FC is not of any concern, go for a 400. I used the 400 for daily commuting with the OC and I was doing outdoor sales at that time. I would say that it's a good bike and power delivers anytime u twist the throttle.

Storage of the 400 is great as it stores 2 FF helmets and with a box, it's superbly great for grocery shopping....haha.

After riding both the 400 and the 250, I can only say that the 250 is more comfortable and good for relaxed riding.

Unless you are a gadget freak, buy the 400 and like you say...cheaper than the majesty sport.

bigcow & boogiemonster,

Thks for the gd info u've shared with us. U have delivered what i wanted to hear and find out.I am rather leaning towards the yp400 on grounds of it being more stable and has a more torquer engine.

Last question if i may ask,.... how abt hop-ups for the bike and its availability??..hop- ups meaning accessories like front cowling, rear spoiler, bigger disk brakes, maybe an exhaust system/pipe,transmission cover, or other attachments ( wheelbase extender kit...dunno if dats legal here in singapore)....i'd like to find out its availability here locally for both the 250 and 400.( if not available locally, how does one get stuff online?)

Also, wat other shops can one go to other than FS,Sunrise Euro n Taihin (they are excellent establishments by the way) for maxi scooter issues and concerns?

As more of a comment, boogiemonster, u have a goodlooking majesty from the looks of it in ur signature....how much damage did it cost ur wallet to come to dis stage??

Hop up parts can be found at the webby mentioned by Lexicon. Don't see what u want, just email that fella...easy and hassle free. Locally for hop ups, hard luck bro.....maybe only exhaust system.

As for servicing....Wonderful motors bro.

Thanks for the compliment on my ride bro....many monies have been spent on appearance, exhaust and full transmission overhaul.....I have spent above 3k to transform "the ugly duckling" and now the ride is as smoooooth as silk.
