Hi to all, I've just collected my new Majesty 400. The fuel consumption on my first ride was about 13km/L. Is it normal ?

At riding speed of 80km/h & above, I felt lots of wind turbulence on my helmet. Is it due to the height of the wind screen? Will changing to a shorter sports wind screen helps?

bro new bike will need some time to run in hence your fuel consumption may not be accurate.... check again after 1000km......

 

as for the wind, it's prob becos of your wind shield. not easy to find available short wind shield though.....

2) radiator spoil?

 

3) does the engine burn 4t(worn rings or piston) n give out white smoke?

 

More like those large sum repair.

not like wear n tear parts, brake pads, tire.

Thanks for your tips. My FC has improved on my 2nd Top-up. Just ordered a new sports screen from HL, will probably arrive next month. Hope it will solve the problem? Wonder what to do with the original wind screen?? to keep it at home or sell it ?

The original windscreen is quite ex leh. keep it lah. Btw using shorter windscreen will reduce the sort of helmet drag but u will feel very tiring if u go touring at >110km/h on NSHW.

bro....mileage recorded on the YP400 is in miles and not kilometers like the YP250s'.....so after converting 13miles/l, you should be on the normal FC range of 22-24km/l.

If the mileage meter is in miles, u can ask HL to chg for u to km readings instead. Heard from one uncle when i went HL to buy spare parts.

My 98 YP250 got this "glock-glock-glock" sound at low speed like below 40km'h. most of the time have this sound, but sometimes don't have.

 

I have change the belt after 1 yrs, use for about 15000km.

Belt condition is still good, but i change it anyway to see if the glock-glock noise goes away.

 

But the noise remain leh. Is it the weight? Clutch? Cone wear?

I shake the pulley cones but doesn't seems to have anu loose part.

 

At higher speed, above 40km/h, this noise goes away.

 

any idea?

any recommendation is welcome
